That's to his credit? Obviously, that doesn't mean anything at all after we found out what he's actually done.

Of course this is shocking to many of us. I bought this pedophiles books and am a friend on his author site for all to see. Unfortunately, I'm unable to delete it or get on the site to comment.

Charles and the administration did the right thing in this horrible turn of events. While never interacting with him on a personal basis it is impossible to not feel violated. This is someone that many of us knew for five plus years.

Know that we all do our best on this site as moderators and steps will be in place to hopefully prevent this scenario from happening again. I am disturbed beyond sleep. I can only imagine how some of you feel who viewed him as your friend.

I hope justice will be served to Keith Willis. I think that there is a serious flaw in the system for not being more diligent in seeing that aliases and user names on the internet and sites is listed.

I've looked at many sex offender records and I do not recall EVER seeing a list of internet user names on any sex offender record. Maybe this will be a wake up call to authorities to be more proactive and make sure that probation officers diligently quiz them as to their internet access and actions.

Absolutely...and like Winx said....ANOTHER REASON NOT TO PUT PICTURES OF YOUR CHILDREN ON THE NET.....It is our job to protect children from preditors!!.... And not just our own children either....all of them any time the situation presents!

No. There were three victims for which he got CONVICTED. Historically, villains like this commit many more crimes than the police ever know about. Children are ashamed and are reluctant to tell of the crime. Sometimes their family is threatened.

Oh, I know. As I posted earlier, statistically, a pedophile has 260 victims in their lifetime. Imagine him and his pedophile brother (his brother is also a pedophile, btw) living together in their apartment full of toys, with thousands of pictures that would make the rest of us puke. What kind of things did they get up to, that they were never caught doing? Honestly, I'd rather not know.

Yes, I downloaded a sample of his first book on my kindle a few months ago. It sucked.

I imagine those who were getting to know him know much more (or thought they knew) than I do and must feel betrayed.

I cant share in that sense of betrayal as I didnt try to get to know him. I am also not sure what , specifically, he did to be labeled an 'offender' however, he doesnt seem to have been playing a predator here in a forum where he so clearly went out of his way to AVOID children.

Based upon what I am told about child predators, thats not common. So thats why I worded as to his 'credit'. I dont believe any person is all bad or all good, I would consider that awareness and precaution on his part a positive.
