i don't like newer body styles and flimsy body materials. anything mid '90s or earlier is fine by me. american muscle is great in a straight line, but nothing out-handles japanese ingenuity on the back roads.

I drive a 1988 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. All white exterior and grey interior. Only one big problem with it, it drinks a lot of gas.laugh

I was close to buying one that was a complete bucket (rust) but it had a rebuilt 383 and a lift kit.. that would of been fun!

yea 383 or small block 400 was what i was thinking of. i use to have an 87 chevy truck with a 355 that a friend wrecked and i was going to put that in the old one but got rid of it.

Yea next tax return is a paintjob and full suspension. Eibach spings.. edelbrock shocks and aibach sway bars. Maybe get stronger A-arms 'cause with monte's those are notorious for twisting under power.

good choice. i only had a stock suspension on the old one i had and it had some body roll going into tight corners and if you weren't careful the ass end would get away from you. good luck with the ride man.

Yea, I gotta get a digi and Ill put up some pics. It's maroon with 120k miles. All emissions stuuf on it (will be out when the car is fully mine, me and my pops project..) but It's mint and not drivien to the cround like most monte's I have seen.

American Muscle Cars are the best! Grew up with four brothers, inheriting the oldest's '72 GTO when I was sixteen. Used to race that car pretty often, and loved the roar of the engine. The ex and I were big into Corvette's and Camero's, but now I have converted to the SUV crowd. Sad, isn't it! Oh well....better than a mini-van, I guess!

Anything with a four barrel, a set of headers and an aggressive cam will do for me. Specifically, I like the GT500 and the chevell, good stuff there.

the ss i had was in great condition when i first got it. had about 70,000 miles on it but for some reason it had this odd facination with deer. and then someone sideswiped me one day and it was just too much. i figured i'd get rid of it and wait for one that wasn't possessed.
