OMG! Youre fantastik! I know its such hard work, and even painful in a sense. That hunger from such a low calorie intake....but Im so impressed with you! Well Done! Thank you Klc :) It has been alot of hard work and dedication. .but it has been worth it. What has helped me the most is not looking at the way I eat as a "diet" but as a lifestyle change . .making healthier choices every day. :)

Hey Penny! According to my scale at home was at 314 yesterday my next dr weigh in is on the 27th. I am hoping to be under 300 by then. :)

Hey everyone. Most of you know me but for those of you who don't . . .Im Penny :). As of last week I started a Dr. supervised diet. I also gave increased the amount that I exercise. I am morbidity obease and desperately want to be healthier. My Dr is lookingvinto getting weight loss surgery approved for me. but that takes time and any weight I loose before surgery will help my to recover better . SO . . Im starting this thread to get support.and give support to anyone else who is trying to loose weight. please feel free to share healthy recipes, dieting tips, weight m.ore goals and accomplishments and if you get discouraged let me know I'm awesome at pep talks . Today is June 22,2012 and I weigh 404 pounds I am on a 1500 calorie a day diet and I swim 3 or more times a week for exercise. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. :) Wow you inspire me ... I pray you make you idea weight ^__^ HUGZ! |

I'm trying out some new forum categories, and just found this one. You are an inspiration, Penny!!!! I came in here looking for some support to lose some weight after having a baby, but that is nothing compared to your journey.
I totally agree with what you said about making a lifestyle change. My husband lost over 70 pounds in the last year doing very similar things, and it is such an empowering experience to watch someone go through. I tip my hat to you, and add my support to the others cheering you on. Go, Penny!

My baby is doing really well. Happy and healthy and sleeping through the night!!!
That means I am happy and healthy and sleeping through the night. I've managed to make some changes for portion control, and am working on getting my activity levels up, so I hope to see some results in the next couple of weeks. My main issue is that I'm a dance teacher, and without the daily activity I'm used to, my metabolism has totally slowed down! When working, I walk 40 -60 min. a day and then dance for 1 1/2-3 hours. I've gotten myself up to 1 dance class and a yoga/pilates class once a week and one big walk, so now I need to work on the daily exercise. How's the swimming going Penny?

Swimming is going great. :) . .I love the water, and the hot AZ weather makes it feel that much better. I have started monitoring my weight once a week from home. I weighed in today . . .308!!!

Good Morning Everyone. :)
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your wonderful support. I thought since its been almost a year I would share some of my non-scale victories with you. . . . Before i could barley walk or stand and had to use an electric scooter when i went places like the grocery store. Now i I can walk half a mile with out stoping and can stand 20 to 30 minutes. I can wear a seat belt with out an extender with room left over. I can tie my shoes, I started out wearing a 5X now im in a 3X and they are getting baggy. :) and best of all . . I feel 100% better about myself, and i feel so much healthier. so thanks again. I love you all.

This is fantastic news, Penny! Even better news is hearing about how you are feeling good about yourself. That is the real victory! The changes in your lifestyle will continue to roll out; gotta love being able to do more. Whoohoo!
