I'm only interested in christian men..
Where are they?
Is there anyone more descriptive than just saying "I'm lookin for fun, im a laid back guy"?
What does that even mean? "Laid back guy" . . . What girl is looking for a laid back guy?
C'mon men, we need more than that.

maybe a laid back guy is not into the things of this world. ignoring the world, he sets his treasure in heaven

Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions

search for your christian man by looking at the fruit he bears, godspeed

I don't mind, whether I heed it or not is another thing because only I know what my heart seeks in a partner.

Yes there are Christian men out here. I am one and believe me there are plenty of lost souls out here in this world. There are roles men and women are to hold for balance and when people don't stay in these roles issues in the home arises bc there not living in gods purpose. Two people must be equally yokes to build a life together and last. Both being believers is key and living there lives with god as center is what a Christian person needs so both people need to believe or it's unbalanced. Something of value is only valuable is someone values it.

1 Corinthians 7:10-17
King James Version (KJV)

10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

Peter_Pan,

Why post this response? What then of the man who loves his wife in his mind yet abuses her? Shall then the wife not depart? Why also then does your profile show your marital status of separated? You intent to reconcile to follow your statement above? Sometimes people also need to read the scripture in context and not just pull out what they need. This was set forth because in the region and day a man would cast his wife out because he desired another woman and/or because she would displease him for some pathetic reason and once she was cast out, she wasn't protected any longer. A divorced woman had a very hard life. Very hard.

Good luck on your reconciliation.

If I have the gift of prophecy & can fathom all mysteries & all knowledge & if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor & surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing

what u said is true, but u have to know this; many of us where saved by the unending grace of Jesus Christ but few among those are christians. Christianity is choice< one chooses to live by christ by allowing him<her self to be guided and molded by the spirit of truth> many men men do not take.Men choose to accept christ but deliberately fail to follow him-those are nt christians.
But dear sis if u walk in the right path and honestly pray to God and wait on him, a right guy will knock ur door.

I have a couple things to say...first, you can't really expect to get a faith based answer everytime in an open public forum such as this one because of the diversiity of responders. Secondly I kinda find it hipocritical to negatively respond to a negative response, we all have different opinions and sometimes things can be read wrong without voice inflection. It is not wrong for a man to be looking for a woman who has never been married, whatever our reasons were for divorcing, I would have to agree we did break our word, amybe after our spouce did repeatedly first, but we did break a contract we entered into. On the other hand he seems less than compassionate to our plight, putting all divorces in a plane of right or wrong is very ignorant and judgemental.
My advice to you is this, start adding in your prayers to have God help put you where you need to be to recieve and move on with a man of God, and that God also prepare in your future man's heart a place for you. Don't be general in your ideas of what you want, picture him, the law of attraction works with Christians too. One iof the obscure thiings I want in a man, the ability and desire to dance with me iin the liviingroom for no other reason but because a slow song is on. And remember most of all....Faith is belief in things unseen, you have to believe your mate is out there and will come in Gods time. Just my opinion, Jenn

Honestly, finding a single christian has been difficult for me personally, but that is mostly because out of the two churches I attend, I am almost the only one my age by about 10-20 years depending on if you are going older or younger.

I personally believe that I cannot judge one person on what they have done in the past or even doing now. Yes they are not perfect, but neither am I ya know?

As long as the person out there can share a love for God, and there is something there between both people and not just one, you should not judge a potentially great relationship simply by knowing they were not perfect in the past.

Just my two cents on the subject. :)

Rasmus916 I totally agree. We all make and will continue to make mistakes in our lives. Grace is so required in us and to us.

If I am not mistaken we were ALL given the great commandment.

Matthew 22:36-40
New International Version (NIV)
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Paul was a murderer, and if I am not mistaken, Noah was an alcoholic. I think Jacob was a cheater, and he used all three of these people to be great men of God. If God can use these men with their past history, he can use me with my past history. And if he can use me with my past history, there is no way I am going to tell God "no" if he says this is the woman I put here on this world for you. Only because she has a few issues in her past.

Yes I know I said the same thing pretty much in my last post, but I do hope it speaks louder than my last one. I am not a fan of editing except for spelling and grammar errors. :P

And Ladywind7, thank you very much, it's rare people agree with me nowadays. :P

EDIT: Just cleaned up some spelling errors :P

I agree as well, but we aren't to judge either. I have met very few people who were just born strong and confident and weren't made that way by living thru some stuff, if ya know what I mean. Sometimes I am a hard learner, but I remember where I came from, and I know where I want my final destination to be, the journey getting there, thats my legacy. And Rasmus, I encourage you to remember taht a man is known by his works and deeds, when you put your faith and service for Him first you can't help but be a victor in every circumstance. Your heart shows in your posts, rare quality these days...
