It's possible. I haven't, personally, had any success with distance dating, but there was of a friend of mine from highschool that met a man online that lived in a different part of the U.S. They chatted online for awhile, before finally meeting in person. Eventually he moved out here (California). My classmate and he wed a couple of years ago and are still happily married. So it's possible.

I gave my reasons in a similar thread about an hour ago. Seems to be the question of the day.

If love was that easy, then their would not be marriage. Marriage is the unity of two loves, my answer is no, there is also a physical part.

Probably not. Long distance relationships on the computer are just and illusion of a person who gives you their undivided attention for an hour or so a day and then forgets your exist more or less. They don't have to share anything, really change anything about their life, and you don't have to clean up after them ect ect. In real (local) life that is all part of the deal fairly fast.

To me its a pretty simple answer it should work if u and the other person want it to work as long as u arrange meeting up times for each other and understand each other

They're very hard and not for everyone...There are lots of lonely nights (like tonight for instance) and many hard days when you need your partner with you "Just Because"....You have to really want it to work and you have to be able to make sacrifices while keeping your eye on the prize...being together someday....

I agree with what Pacific and Leigh said. I want my lover to be beside me. Not unreachable. Fair play if you're the type that can cope well with long distance relationships. I can't. Why would someone want me when he can have anyone who lives local to him? I'm quite a physical person, so I need to know that he is available for hugs and other such stuff. It would feel too much like a pen-pal for me. I just can't.
