No two ways about it. This is not a flattering photo.

But it might not matter anyway...

Poll: Obama widens lead over Romney despite jobs data
By Alina Selyukh | Reuters – 13 hrs ago

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama, picking up support following the Democratic National Convention, widened his narrow lead over Republican U.S. presidential challenger Mitt Romney in a new Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Saturday.

The nominee's of each party se higher poll numbers right after their conventions. This isn't surprising and we will see those numbers drop drastically when Romney unleashes the massive media blitz his unlimited funding is able to buy.

it is more strategy than money , because OBama has actually raised more than Romney,, Romney just has more backing from Wall street, pacs, and big investors

Mitt Romney raised $106 million to President Barack Obama's $71 million in the month of June, putting the Republican candidate ahead of the incumbent for the second month in a row. A fundraising powerhouse in 2008, Obama could be in trouble.

In May, Romney raised $77 million to Obama's $60 million in what has become the most expensive presidential campaign in history. Romney's June total is the second highest monthly total ever for a presidential candidate.

"This is no joke," wrote Ann Marie Habershaw, the Obama campaign's chief operating officer, of the June totals. "If we can't keep the money race close, it becomes that much harder to win in November."

She warned, “We could lose if this continues.”

thats still not nearly as much as obama has raised

if OBama camp didnt raise ANY MORE MONEY as of today, Mitt still has only two months to raise what its taken him his whole campaign to raise so far

OBama has raised 348 million to mitts 192

he would have to raise 156 million(almost as much as its taken this campaign so far to raise) to outraise Obamas camp and thats ONLY If Obamas camp stopped raising anymore money

alot of things COULD happen, and its smart strategy to be humble instead of boastful to keep people from getting 'lazy' with contributions,,,

or

when increased spending and revenue cuts implemented by Republicans causes an economic collapse

its best not to put the economy BACK into their hands because its not recovering fast enough

there you go again, you know as well as every one else that bush had a democratic congress, and APPROVED everything he did... you say yourself the president only has so much power... so put the blame where it goes, and don't vote for any incumbents....

Bush had a REPUBLICAN congress from 2001-2007

the budget that he ( a republican) and a republican majority congress passed last was for fiscal year 2007, which ran october 2006-october 2007

coincidentally the recession BEGAN immediately after those years in DECEMBER of 2007

the president only has so much power, and in partisan politics, if the president and the congress are all controlled by the same party,, that power increases quite dramatically
