It is better to have a real enemy rather than a false friend. What does friendship mean to you? Well I don't think there is much of a difference.A false friend IS my enemy. Yes, a dangerous enemy but in disguise! Hard to recognise. [/quote Sooner or later you can see through their diguise. By the time we see the real picture it will be already late.

I couldn't agree more, I'm tired of fake friends who treat me worse than my enemies, at least iaf I had enemies we would avoid one another. I don't have any known enemies but I have some pretty rotten friends. I really feel bad when I have to compromice with some of pretty rotten friends(?) to ease the life. But this is also part of life.

Friendship is a gift...sometimes it lasts for a long time..sometimes, it was just magic! It happens. I cannot explain it any other way! Yes, friendshìp is a great gift. Unless we do have a real friend it is difficult to understand the value of friendship. (Just like true love true friendsìp also seems to be a mirrage.)

A selfish man/woman will remain friend (?) so long there is chance of material gain. (In my opinion) I have selfish friends and they don't ask anything from me unless you think asking someone to talk to you is considered material gain.

In general selfish means what I think who bothers only about himself/herself (I am not telling that he/she is bad or somethìng like that). Once he/she has to suffer loss, definitely he/she will forget of friendshìp. (As per me) I don't think your friends are selfish rather a well wisher of you. Good luck for you & your friends. :drinks

People don't wake up one day and become selfish; they have gone through something bad. I am considered selfish because I didn't have kids or get married but ironically its the religous types that say I am selfish. I do put my needs first and if that makes me selfish so be it. I do charity drives; volunteer work with kids; do sand bagging, built houses for those destroyed in a hurricane; tell people at Christmas to give money to the poor rather than buy me a gift; and keep an open door/ear to anyone that needs it; but some still say I am selfish; however they don't know I do these things. So; I don't judge anyone that others think are selfish as there are things people just don't know about them.

..now i suppose it all depends on what circles one travels in but i've always heard " that a friend with weed was a friend indeed"..lol as far as that friend that's always in need well there is only so much one can do to help a person out before they have to learn to take care of their own needs..they're not mine to raise..so get a life get a job and get to payin me back ya free loadin' sumbytch...

Some people help others for getting fame; others do it for doing something good. Both are O.K but 2nd catagory is a little bit more creditable.(As per me) A selfish (?) like you is far better than a so called civilised/intelligent(idiot) person. I wish I were also selfish like you!

Friends are brothers and sisters from another mother. They are like gifts. But the ultimate friend and best buddy ever God above.and lest i forget, ur wifey/hubby is also ur best friend...
