I mean i see so many couples around, i don't know how they even got together. because everywhere i look most people are reserved, like at my college most girls and guys are friends and theres sort of a "friend zone barrier" between most guys and gals, like i never see a guy hit on a girl. but somehow when i ask them they are in some sort of a relationship with someone.

you guessed it...i am single :P :(

People in college are usually focused on finishing their degrees.

The next time you see one of those couples, go up to them and ask them how they got together. If they just look at you weirdly then move on to the next. The only way to get answers is to ask.

First of all, never hit on a lady. Unless you're looking for a one night stand, but that's not very classy, so I would avoid that.

Your approach may need altered.

Talk to her, you'll find the right one eventually.

I used to wonder about that too, OP. I learned in a few decades living in a North American Culture that:

1. You hook up at Church, through friends, or in school, at around age 14-16.

2. After you hook up, you don't let go.

3. You don't need sex or anything like that to keep each other. You just become known in your community of peers as a couple.

4. After a while you get married, get a house and make children.

5. Nothing else comes into the equation.

6. When one or the of the couple becomes widowed, or separated/divorced, then there is the one big question: what to do. Almost all turn to drugs at this point. Alcohol, wine, coffee, valium, Tylenol 3 are for older women. Coke, junk, meth, chlorofill, make-up, semen, men in uniforms, money, are for the younger generation. These people agree that nothing is as good as love, and they also say that nothing is worth giving up just for love. Not even your drawing random scribbles on the kitchen table, or even one afternoon stroll, or your Saturday morning sleeping in.

---------------

Some extracurricular knowledge (reading list):

7. Good looking women get propositioned all the time. Not good-looking at all women do too.

8. They always say no.

9. Except when they say yes.

10. Good looking guys get laid like rabbits.

11. Good looking guys ***** that they don't have brains or talents or friends.

12. And everyone knows that it's no bull, that they would gladly give up their good looks and all the women they conquer if they could just once bring home a test mark of A in calculus. Or even in Geography or history.

These are the Twelve Points of Norht American Loneliness and Dating.

On.

Someone you can stand ON.

(What do you think it is in it
for Krupa? He don't need to raise
his foot too high.) (But this
might start another thead of the
same debate I have with the NewGoodLooking
Chick. (Forgot her username.) We are
discussing who should be on top in a
relatoinship.)

Well, he just did, dinni.

You're right, we are not couples, but I can say with enough assurance that I speak for two, at least (I talk too much) and that the amount of sex I have by myself is more than any normal couple could handle.

I think step 2 is step 1 for the other person.

Let's not allow anyone to expect us to do our job and theirs, too. That would lead to laziness, softness, and general universal healthcare for all Americans.

Yikes.
