In your area, what does a one bedroom apartment normally go for? What about two bedroom? What is the typical rent where you live?

Expensive where I live.
Approx. 850.00 + on a one bedroom and it only goes up from there.
There are options... get a cardboard box and move it somewhere under a tunnel. laugh

That's the same for here. A bit less if the apartment is really tiny! The closer you get to DC/Northern VA, the rent really goes up. I used to pay $1150/month for a one bedroom in VA, so the rent here seems much cheaper.

most want first month and security department
nicer (Safer) ones usuallly require a minimum of three and a half times income,,,so at least 3100 a month income to qualify for that three bedroom

Ah, that's bigger than what I was thinking. I have a small, 450 sq foot apartment that's quite a bit more than $450 :). But, it's in an awesome downtown location, so I pay for location more than anything else.

there are no apartments 'round these parts.
o.O
one bedroom house is about six hundred.
two bedroom is about eight hundred.
unless you want to reallyyy go out there and live outside of 'town.'
then it goes up because you'll have tons of property.

location, location, location,, means alot

the same houses that would cost 150-250 grand in ohio could run maybe 400-500 thousand out here,,,and not nearly as many 'yards' or lawns either,,,

Yep. Location definitely affects cost quite a bit. This topic came up, because someone was talking about being able to live on minimum wage in another thread. So, I was curious about what people pay for rent in different areas, as not everyone would be able to live on minimum wage alone.

Oh you know I'd bring nothing but pure, un-Twilight joy to you and your neighborhood.

And, I have already taken a test for the job. They want to interview me.....but after the election. Lol. Lot's of jobs on hold until then.

1 bedroom= $400-$600
2 bedroom= $650+

Houses more expensive to rent here, as demand
is high during the recession.
