sooo very true.. with each new generation we loose something we held dear from the past.. a morality.. a value.. a tradition.. the more we move into the future.. the less we remember of the simple things we took for granted.. it's sad really..

Thank you, everyone...I've truly appreciated your words while writing. However, my writing of late has been rather dark and I haven't really liked it all that much, therefore I'm going to take a hiatus from it for awhile. Writing is supposed to help or even solve problems, not create madness, it loses its purity when it starts becoming negative in your life.

It should be an outlet, it should not invite problems but dispel them...It should, at least in my opinion, create and not destroy.

isn't writing supposed to allow our inner demons to escape? we can't always be happy go lucky or cheery.. and when writing.. it's just reflecting the place where our minds have momentarily taken us.. telling it like we see or feel it.. living in the 'honest' moment so to speak

however.. the freedom of choice is yours alone as to whether you continue to write or not.. that said.. I did find this piece to be very insightful of humanities current demeanor and seemingly bleak artistic future..

Yes, which is my point...They are not escaping and it is only creating more of them. Honesty is fine until it becomes repetitively dark.

I totally understand your point.. I've always told my kids that positive begets positive whereas focusing on the negative will only create more misery.. so I get it.. and I respect where you're coming from..
