You're not entitled to life? So, if I attack you and you are not able to defend yourself, it's okay if I kill you???

For my answer, I am entitled to life, liberty and to be left alone when I ask to be. happy

perhaps you've misunderstood the definition of ENTITLED: To give (someone) a legal right or a just claim to receive or do something

so your comment has nothing to do with entitlement, by defintion
so I reiterate.. no one has entitled me to anything.. simply put.. I've earned it

Nope, I didn't misunderstand. I'm aware of the definition. Guess you crazy Canadians just see things differently than we Americans do. laugh

No one gives us our human rights. (They are called "God given.")

So if you don't believe in God, then the right to life, liberty and happiness are assumed and innate. They are not given by anyone.

If you are not entitled to anything, then you are not even entitled to anything that you have earned by toil, dedication, compassion or determination.

Perhaps you are a slave.

I'm sure the Queen of England will take it off your hands. She thinks she's entitled to it.

I'm entitled to nothing. Everything in life, including freedom, is a fight.

Wrong. You are entitled to life, liberty and happiness.

If you don't think you are entitled to your life, then I guess you would not care if someone decided to ask you for it.

We could sacrifice you to the dragons or the gods.

So then, you don't pay taxes?

Do you give your hard earned money over to your government?

What about your life? Are you not entitled to live or will you give your life to save another if asked? I'm sure there are plenty of people who need organs.

I am also entitled to defend my life. By force, if necessary.

Why does it seem like you always attack differing opinions?

Perhaps you are a slave...Who is to say that your way of thinking isn't horribly incorrect? Now, who are you to say that our way of thinking is wrong?

It is called "argument."

And it is not an "attack." Why do you misconstrue it as an attack?

For someone to say that they are not entitled to anything does not make any sense to me at all.

If you earned something by toil, dedication, compassion or determination, and you don't you feel you are entitled to it - that does not make sense.

I believe she misunderstands what "entitlement" is.

Nothing.

Okay you feel you are entitled to nothing. Nothing at all.

If you go to work you are not entitled to be paid?
Are you not entitled to live? To be free?

Please tell me why you feel that you are not entitled to anything at all.

I am really curious.

Because it is an attack.

Really? To challenge her claim that she is not entitled to anything is an attack? How so?

If she works and toils and is not entitled to a wage, then she must be a slave.

That is a fact, not an attack.

No, I think it was the slave bit...Could have even been the Queen bit, maybe it was both, yeah...Probably both.

Simple as this, my opinion is different than your opinion...I do not care why, or even how, they are simply different. The reason is that, you and me, are completely different people and view the world in completely different ways.

This is simply not true.

People love to point out how 'different' they are from someone else. We are both human beings with a lot in common.

I still want to know why you think you are not entitled to ANYTHING.

Is it a low self esteem problem? False humility? What?

Are you not entitled to life, freedom, happiness? Money for your work?

I think everyone is entitled to a certain amount of respect just for being a human being.

It is true, regardless of your beliefs or ideas...We are all unique.

Now we have low self esteem...For f* sake, I'm done here.

that is where you have misunderstood.. I HAVE toiled and worked so that ENTITLES me to a wage.. thus my previous statement..
