Seriously, where is the proof that 20 children were gunned down?

I don't believe it. It could all be an NSA exercise in propaganda.

Call me what you want but I will fight for and am fighting for my grandchildren and theirs to attend schools that do not have armed teachers and military at the door to protect them from you and your ilk... who have lost your mind and used your gun to kill innocents.

And I am not anti gun but I am anti gun bullshyte like this...

You are doing this for your grandchildren? REALLY? Sounds like you want to push an agenda that makes YOU feel safe.

Again you fear guns so much move to England! Or how about Australia? There is a point where all this dogma is just utter BS and what you present has no fact to back it. You twist facts and claim the NRA twists facts. WELCOME TO THE WORLD!

NO AND AGAIN NO! You plead people in general are not responsible. WHO THE HELL MADE YOU THE FINAL SAY LET ALONE THE JUDGE IN THIS MATTER?

Quit punishing everyone for the actions of a small minority of the population! Again your ignorance is staggering!

I am the ignorant one??? Not.

I don't fear guns at all, that is the issue the gun crazies have with me. I don't fear the bad guys with guns. Most of which think they are the good guys with guns.slaphead

I don't fear a gun. I can hurt or kill a gun toter with no sweat off my brow. I know what I am capable of. And I know how stupid they are with their little pea shooter as "protection". I am smarter and that beats a gun every time. Raised with guns, I can shoot just fine.

I am not afraid of the boogie man, the guvment, the robber, the aliens, those "other" people who might not like me, etc... anything you can think up doesn't bring fear to me.

I do however refuse to allow 6 year olds to live in fear of school

I do however refuse to let the gun crazies put more guns in the schools and military outside the schools so the "other" gun crazies don't mow down the kids a dozen at a time whenever they get a hair up their ***.

I ain't scared and that is hard for a gun crazy person to understand because the only reason you want a gun is cause you are scared of somethingtongue2

YOUR FEAR! YOUR IDEALS! YOU, YOU, YOU! you just equate ANYONE who owns a gun to being a gun toting crazy. I bet there are Alaskans biting their lip to keep from telling you point blank your ignorance is astonishing. There are places you do not go without a LARGE sidearm on your hip. I have been places where you carry your gun at arms, one in the pipe, barrel pointing up or right to the ground. Why? The wildlife mostly. A black bear may be small but when motivated will still take on a human. Mountain lions, and even deer can be problematic. So go ahead and amuse yourself with the slap your head smiley. Insinuate our lack of responsibility some more. Toss around the name calling and ad hominum.

Better badly prepared than not prepared at all!

And you got owned too. Ha ha!

And what about the adults? Hmmmmm, no mention of adult casualties here. Dead adults don't tug at our heart strings!

huh So any more wisdom from the Anti gun lobby here?huh

And Jeanniebean I do agree, I need a list of names so I can compare the information to death records which are public knowledge. 20 dead is such a conveniently high number! Notice they never offer a list of the names of the dead publicly even later?

Saying that a deadly weapon cannot discourage someone who cherishes their life from attempting to harm yours is like trying to convince people that you dont need to breath because we cant see air.

I really am stunned we cannot station at least ONE dedicated police officer at each school. Likewise why is it we do not have ARMED AIR MARSHALS to protect us on flights? It would cause a problem with International flights? The laws of other countries? If we have to observe Diplomatic immunity they can observe armed American Air Marshals traveling in OUR flights or on flights coming to this country!!!

BANANA BOOGALOO NOW!

Andy, the only owning you do is in your mind bud.

Your long drawn out attempts don't accomplish anything.

It is the same diatribe every time. From years of it....huh

This gun saves lives thread is kinda short on facts and proof of all the lives it saves when I can tie the whole thing up with all the lives it takes.

It is like 60 a day I think that are lost....

COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER!!

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good &evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact.
What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws.
Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him.

To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!
My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
- Darrell Scott

You do stand up comedy at night? I hope it is not your day job! I didn't own you! Jeanniebean owned you! You are right. it is the SAME DIATRIBE from you time and time again!

And here you are short on facts. 30 people a day are killed from guns? How about in Mexico where the normal person is not allowed to own a gun? How many thousands a month die there? you dare not compare us to nations whee there is active gun control becasue the crime statistics there bear gun toting crazies like myself out. What prevents their violence from spilling completely over our boarder? Most of US AMERICANS GOT GUNS!

Can you PLEASE illuminate me???

You are SOOOOOOO SMART. You are so much smarter than me. So if you would please explain to me how gun control makes me safe?

I don't own guns. I don't care for them and prefer not to be around them. However, in the USA people have the right to own them. I also understand that making them illegal would only make them expensive.

It's the same a heroin. It's illegal everywhere, but people that want it don't have any trouble finding it.
