The CEO of a Tennessee company that specializes weapons and tactical training is threatening to “start killing people” if President Barack Obama moves forward with gun control measures.
In a video posted to YouTube and Facebook on Wednesday, Tactical Response CEO James Yeager went ballistic over reports that the president could take executive action with minor gun control measures after the mass shooting of 20 school children in Connecticut last month. After the Drudge Report likened Obama to Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin on Wednesday, pro-gun conservatives expressed outrage over the idea that the White House could act without Congress. “Vice President [Joe] Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control,” Yeager explained in his video message. “**** that.” “I’m telling you that if that happens, it’s going to spark a civil war, and I’ll be glad to fire the first shot. I’m not putting up with it. You shouldn’t put up with it. And I need all you patriots to start thinking about what you’re going to do, load your damn mags, make sure your rifle’s clean, pack a backpack with some food in it and get ready to fight.” The CEO concluded: “I’m not ****ing putting up with this. I’m not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I’m not letting anybody take my guns! If it goes one inch further, I’m going to start killing people.” As The Atlantic noted on Wednesday, gun advocates can stop “freaking out” because Obama cannot ban assault weapons or close the gun show loophole without Congress. The president, however, can take small steps like modernizing the background check system and limiting importation of assault rifles. By Thursday morning, the video promising violence in response to gun control measures had been removed from Yeager’s YouTube page, but the link had not been removed from Facebook. There is no "They."
It is one guy that flipped out, kind of like how murders work...One guy, just flips out. Take the guns away, and the explosions get bigger. It really becomes a bigger problem the more you look at it, because it isn't like banning guns is going to eliminate the threat...You can't stop a killer from killing, it is unfortunate but true. |

And again this is a solitary incident. Likewise it sounds like a hollow threat but you can't tell these days. How was the Oklahoma Federal Building taken out again? Hmmmmm, wasn't a gun. And what was the death toll including children in the daycare center? isn't fertilizer bytchen stuff? A little diesel fuel, a couple of blasting caps... All easier to get than to purchase any gun. Oh man, I got a pesky tree stump I can't dig up. Might as well order some stump charges! oh but HEY! A thick piece of a nice soft malleable metal, some duct tape and voila`! Instant anti vehicular weapon. Here is a personal favorite of mine, just aim a bus at a bus stop! How do you get a bus? Any sharp weapon and a threat to any metro bus driver to get off of his own bus! So please tell me exactly how gun control will stop us from real insanity? Now trust me, IF I CAN THINK ABOUT IT SOME NUTCASE OUT THERE PROBABLY ALREADY HAS TRIED IT! Actually I have been one upped many times. That guy that flipped out in San Diego and stole an Abrams tank... Luckily he didn't decide to drive through people's houses! K, with that said. You want to make the world a safer place for your grandchildren? How about addressing the disease? For one, CONGRESS NEEDS A SPANKING! We need to clean our house out of the weasels so badly! We need to reform healthcare and not under an insurance model but a surety model where no matter what you will receive care like in GERMANY! We need to adopt policies which work in other countries! We need to likewise deal with poverty which means getting people back to work and for those who refuse to work, screw them, this is not a communist daycare center for the poor! We only should have mercy on those who truly can't. We need to get people back to understanding their personal responsibilities to themselves and the people around them. We need a police force that is one of us, not there to write tickets and be all around jerks! There is a lot this nation needs but more laws especially where guns are concerned? I am glad you re not a doctor. You would kill more patience than you would cure! Pure metaphoric quackery here! Would it make the news if some ranting maniac posted on facebook he was going to go on a rampage with a jeep in a shopping center and then does so? Maybe all for about 15 second! But if he had a gun? OH MY GOD, THE WORLD JUST STOPPED TURNING FOR A MOMENT. I don't believe YOUR ideal safe world is safe for MY own grand children thank you very much! |

What makes those facts even more interesting is that is grouped by homicide, not murder. That means that justified defensive homicide is grouped in there, not just unjustified murders.
Good guys taking out someone invading their homes may have killed the guy (homicide) but did not murder him. |

Another little fact that I thought was interesting.
Further illustrating the small role so-called assault weapons play in crime, FBI data shows that 323 murders were committed with rifles of any kind in 2011. In comparison, 496 murders were commited with hammers and clubs, and 1,694 murders were perpetrated with knives. At what point do we stop going to the ball games and start fighting for our rights? Fredom isnt free and anyone that is trying to take guns is the enemy. any questions? if so i refer you to the founding fathers and thier unusually good insight on this matter. What exactly do you think needs to be done? Be specific. Have you written to your representatives? What other steps would you take? |

It should be noted that a well-armed populace has DETERRENCE such that government will never impose slavery on its citizens; an unarmed populace is or will probably be enslaved.
The worst of all situations is a poorly armed population...Deterrence will probably fail, and many people would die in the bloodbath resulting from the power struggle. |

In a play on what Asimov said in his "Foundation" series ("Violence is the last resort of the incompetent"), I would say Violence is the FIRST resort of the incompetent and the LAST resort of the reasonable man. The advantage of a well-armed militia is in it's deterrence that serves as leverage in negotiation. (i.e. It is the "Big Stick" that allows us to walk softly.) |

Too many innocent people die from legal guns...there is no way around that fact.
So the laws will be changing to control them more. Be mad about it but it is going to happen in the name of 20 6 year olds gunned down in their classroom in under a minute. |
