The CEO of a Tennessee company that specializes weapons and tactical training is threatening to “start killing people” if President Barack Obama moves forward with gun control measures. In a video posted to YouTube and Facebook on Wednesday, Tactical Response CEO James Yeager went ballistic over reports that the president could take executive action with minor gun control measures after the mass shooting of 20 school children in Connecticut last month. After the Drudge Report likened Obama to Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin on Wednesday, pro-gun conservatives expressed outrage over the idea that the White House could act without Congress. “Vice President [Joe] Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control,” Yeager explained in his video message. “**** that.” “I’m telling you that if that happens, it’s going to spark a civil war, and I’ll be glad to fire the first shot. I’m not putting up with it. You shouldn’t put up with it. And I need all you patriots to start thinking about what you’re going to do, load your damn mags, make sure your rifle’s clean, pack a backpack with some food in it and get ready to fight.” The CEO concluded: “I’m not ****ing putting up with this. I’m not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I’m not letting anybody take my guns! If it goes one inch further, I’m going to start killing people.” As The Atlantic noted on Wednesday, gun advocates can stop “freaking out” because Obama cannot ban assault weapons or close the gun show loophole without Congress. The president, however, can take small steps like modernizing the background check system and limiting importation of assault rifles. By Thursday morning, the video promising violence in response to gun control measures had been removed from Yeager’s YouTube page, but the link had not been removed from Facebook. Except if guns were a deterrent to crime, the US would have the smallest crime rate in the world...No criminal knows for sure there is no gun where they commit their crimes in this country. So that makes gun not a deterrent to crime at all.... Criminals are quite certain that in a gun free school zone there will be no guns. |

Did you watch the Daily Show with John Stewart? Apparently there are already 2200 gun laws on the books that the ATF is not enforcing. The current director of the ATF has another full time job, and the ATF is not allowed to require gun shops to refuse to sell guns to drunks and crazies anyway so their hands are tied where enforcing gun laws are concerned. It was interesting.

Too many innocent people die from legal guns...there is no way around that fact. So the laws will be changing to control them more. Be mad about it but it is going to happen in the name of 20 6 year olds gunned down in their classroom in under a minute. You’ll need the police’s guns to take away other people’s guns. So you’re very Pro-Gun, you just believe that only the Government (which is, of course, so reliable, honest, moral and virtuous…) should be allowed to have guns. There is no such thing as gun control. There is only centralizing gun ownership in the hands of a small, political elite and their minions. |

If the ATF doesn't even enforce the 2200 gun laws we have already I'm not very worried about a bunch of new ones.
Criminals will not be deterred. Law abiding citizens won't be deterred either. |

well the second amendment protects against anyone in the goverment form changing gun control. everyone has the right to bare arms. i own lots of them. do you think its fair to the people who use them for hunting or sporting events. i hope everyone knows that guns dont kill people. PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE. the military kills people everyday with guns. so are you saying we should take guns away from them. you know people can kill others with their hand knivies bats sticks vehicles or anything with a sharp object.
