I had mine taken out when I was 17, for me, despite being impacted, it was no big deal. The worst part was my mom bought me a Frosty on the way home and my whole face was so numb, I thought I was hitting my mouth but it was going everywhere but there bigsmile

A lot of blood, some swollen cheeks, very little pain. But, trust me, it'll feel a lot better when they're gone and will save lots of trouble down the road!

Ive had all of my wisdom teef taken out when I was ummmm 20 I think. Anyways, I had mine done at the dentist while a week later my older sister had hers done at a hospital where she was put out. I felt nothing....she was in a lot of pain. The best thing to do right after......as soon as you get out is buy a big bag of ice and apply it to your face, to prevent swelling and bruising. Also, tylenol 3.....ya gotta have that!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was 14 and aside from the slight soreness for the next day I was fine. Try not too suck too much, or drink from straws because you don't want to remove the clots that form afterwards, and I'm sure they will tell you all of this when you have it done. But Take it from a dental assistant. It's not all that bad. And they do give you pain meds. Just eat soft foods for the next couple of days and you will be fine... Good luck!

I had mine taken out a few years ago. I was on good pain meds...it was the best few days of my life...until I realized I had to live on mashed potatoes for 3 weeks lol. But just rinse with salt water every few hours, don't let your tounge wander into the holes, and take pain meds (they don't have to be too strong) and that should help flowerforyou

I had two of my upper wisdom teeth pulled out just need the bottom ones done, but they aren't bothering me to bad and the cost just to get the pictures bad enough.

Plus I still have to pay on my bill from the last time I seen the Dentist.

Oh and the pain wasn't that bad I had worst pain in my life, it was the blood that was the worst part of it all to be honest, but after the numbest went away and the blood stop, I was fine.

i didn't use anything stronger than ibuprofen, and i pulled almost 100 hours at work that week.

i do recommend having them cut out, as opposed to being pulled...but it was a piece of cake for me.

I had my upper and lower wisdom teeth cut out when I was 15 by an oral surgeon . The worst part was the IV they put in my arm . I went out w/friends the same night I had it done so it wasnt tooo bad. There is swelling and you have to be careful when sucking and DONT SMOKE !!! Ive heard dry sockets are HORRIBLE !

dry sockets are horrible...and i didnt smoke, didnt drink through a straw...nothing that i wasnt supposed to....took the vicodin and it didnt help.....i went back a few days after i has it done and they gave me stuff to help em....most people are just fine though...itll be sore....but shouldnt be too bad...if the pain i severe and the medication they give doesnt help...go back to make sure theres not something else going on like dry sockets!
