if your in a relationship and you talk and email all the time and find out the man is going to have a serious test done soon and all at once you do not hear from him for 5 days and then when you do he says he will call you right back so that he can explain and he doesn't and it has been 2 days. Is it over and he is to chicken to tell me?

maybe just needs time to sort things out for himself before he can share

would not say it is over, unless you let it be. not knowing the test..would guess it was not good news and he does not wish to burden you with it..call him and just be sweet and supportive. could be a tough time for him

I have tried time after time to get a hold of him and he is not answering phone. This I know because he shut off his answering machine after I left message for him to call me.

we have been talking for about a month. We talked for at least 6 hours on the phone each day. Talked about everything... down to knowing what meds he was on.

 SORRY, It could be a very BIG deal for him to handle and time might be against him?
Or he could just be talking BS and found YOU not to be for HIM?
Or Test and medical problems need HIM NOW more than contacting YOU back?
But one thing is for SURE, IF he doesn't get ahold of you with-in a month,,,he most likely NEVER will! :heart:smokin

Listen, Men have been raised to be strong, proud and private about their problems.

If he has something really wrong with him, it may take some time to bring himself to you and admit a percieved weakness.

Let him know how you feel about him and let him know that he can contact you in his own time, just not too long

set a little longer deadline than you would want, and if he does not come to you, it is probably over.

Just be open with him, he may be really hurting and embarassed right now,

Men are not indestructable, we are not Superman, we hurt, we get afraid, we even hate ourselves sometimes, but we are men none the less

I hope all works out for youflowerforyou

Who likes to share what can be seen as bad news???

Who prefers to protect those that they care for, from the same disbelief, sorrow, pain, etc that you felt when you first heard the news??

I know I do, even when it is not ultimately in the best interests of those that one cares for.

(and you don't need to be a male, either)

lady, this sounds way too familar to me. This is almost the exact same thing happened to my sister who is living in Denver, only difference, she and this man had met in person and had dated for almost 2 months. My sister REALLY liked him and thought they were getting along perfectly, he even gave her a $400 cell phone. To make a long story short...the medical issue came up, tests, he became unreachable, dropped out of sight...blah, blah, blah. As it turned out, this jerk had another gal on the side. He was nothing more than a player. I prayer this isn't wasn't going on with your man, but please prepare yourself for the possibility.

Could be the results of the test has totaly floored him and he does not know how to deal with it. I know if I had something medical come up and it was very serious I can't say that I would burden another with it. I would possible cut my ties and hope they find someone else. Just a thought.flowerforyou
