or what breaks it, I guess there the same but opposite

have you allso found that its changed through the years,

I know I have.

when I started working in the bush, in 1990 then comming

back to town with a pocket full of money I felt invincible,

I would just exude conference, and felt like I could have what I want.

so thats monetary confidence. It may have been partly that I was

learning a skill and my services were valued as well, but the novelty

has worn out.

both are still important as a "person" needs a porpose, but in age,

it just seems the expectations are higher, so a guess you could

count me under the "needs approval from society"

"keeping up with the Jones's" ...lol.. so it just does a full circle for

me and just comes back to "the "bigger" the boy the "bigger" the toy $$$$

I got a few I can add later

You don't need confidence when you're as awesome as I am.

just relied on a co-dependence from a love intrest & just road that wave for a while.

I'm not talking about love interests. I don't consider that so much of a goal per se.

I was referring to work or personal achievements. If I haven't achieve a goal in a while then I'm not working hard enough. That doesn't lower my confidence, it just lights a fire under me to work harder or try a different method. Eventually, VICTORY WILL BE MINE! Muhaahaa! pitchfork

Being bullied as a youngster, failing various endeavors, rejection, these things had serious impacts on my life, more so that I'm too sensitive for a guy. Over many years I learnt to harness all the pain and emotion into constructive means. Met a local tough guy and began boxing at the same gym he trained in, reading became an obsession because my father always called me dumb, and began understanding women the more and more I made a fool of myself before them. I'm lucky to of been oppressed, I would rather believe that than cry about it. My morale is that everytime life breaks you, with the right rehabilitation, you rebuild stronger.

Positivity feeds my confidence

so you are talking about positive reinforcements
such as one complementing you on a good job.

*thinks to himself, I sure wanted to word it different*
