So some of u know a few months ago how I was talking with a guy for over a month on the phone and then the scam came him asking for money. I'm really getting good and seeing the signs now. In the past couple months I've chatted with 3 new one suspicious of them all I said send a pic holding something with my ne. Guess what we no longer chat. I'm just really amazed at how many are scammers. It just makes it so hard for someone that might be real. Because for me and it happening so much I refuse to waste any time unless a see a pic with them holding something with my name

A scammer could still pass your test if he is actually the person in the profile pictures you know.

I think the problem is that you are talking to people that don't live near enough for dating. Either that or you chat with them for too long before agreeing to a date. A genuine guy (or at least someone that actually wants to meet) would want to try to arange a date as soon as possible, unless he wasn't really interested in you in the first place or lived so far away that you're wasting your time anyway.

That is a good idea, to request a photo with them holding something with your name on, I request a Skype call now after a few emails so I can see them, but that gives me another option if they say they don't have Skype. You can spot most scammers from their first contact but not all, and it is not just the time they waste but the hurt they can cause you once you discover the scam. I know the feeling after chatting with someone daily for nearly a month before they requested money from me, and how quickly they disappear when you refuse to send any. The sooner you learn if they are who they say they are the better, and as you have done, always report them to the site if you suspect a scam.

chatting for months to ask for money at the last episode ... why don't they try to find a decent job which gives them what they need , you can make plenty of money doing something useful for months !

Yes, but I think for them is the thrill they get trying to outwit someone; besides these kind of people want something for nothing. They are having fun being deceptive.

I get them contacting me all the time, even on facebook. I just make it a policy not to give out any info where they can contact me other than the original site. After a couple of tries, they go away.

scammers come in different forms some might ask for money others will not but might ask you, especially if you are in a fancy country to help them come there after which they will damp you.
Do not expect every scammer to ask for money, they are quite witty.

iv never been on a website wich had more scammers then this one.. in my 3 weeks here i have talked with at least a dozen even 1 right now at this moment!! i think more then half of the profiles from people from my country are scammers or fake profiles.. mingle should try and block some ip's! i spot them in the first message its not that hard.. and every1 knows not to send money to stranger online right? lol
