good grief already....what I'd like to know is why peeps worry so much about the things they really have no control over?????slaphead

Its called understanding and learning, im not worried at all. As I have said before I am new to this and have no idea about the etiquette and expectations of a personal message no getting a reply.

People. ..... please dont take my simple and maybe commonly asked questions as a hang up. Im taking the time to understand. Surely to play the game you must understand the rules right? (Im not by any means saying I am playing a game it is a phrase)

Its also interesting to hear what kind of replies some of you are receiving.
It absolutely amazes me how the people that send them actually think they might get a reply?
From the pervy ones to the offers of marriage in badly spelt English.
As for the numbers and percentage of email people get...
It must be a mine field for a woman who gets lots hundreds of messages a week or day if you have posted your boobs in a bra or bikini ha ha..
I do try to not be creepy or offensive or downbeat.
I try to relate to something we have in common from what they have said on their profile and I have noticed a lot of profiles that just say "hi" and nothing more. Also I am noticing the reference to God a lot of times. Like I am a God fearing woman. This comes up a lot and apart from the obvious I dont know if there is any other reason behind it.

I had one person telling me how much he liked me, then he sent me a similar message and then a 3rd one telling me he'd changed his profession to better suit what I was looking for? noway noway

Unbelievable!
But I suppose it is easy to find out what people want then pretend to be that.
But why bother unless for financial gain or citizenship through marriage to your country if they live far away sometimes in a third world country.

Haha, yeah, no way I'm giving anyone citizenship unless he'd be from a 1st world country and then he wouldn't want the citizenship.

Thing is, it's much easier to not reply if you're not interested. If you do reply, many seem to think they got one foot in the door, even though you'd been very clear.
I've found that if you don't reply, you usually don't get a 2nd message anymore.

About this citizenship ... did it ever dawn on you that your name suggests you're in Greece (which you're not if I'm not mistaken) and are looking for citizenship in a 1st world country?
Never thought of it as we communicate here in the forums, but if you'd sent me a message, I wouldn't have replied either, for that reason.
Not saying this to judge, but if you're aiming for women in a 1st world country, it might be one of the reasons few reply.

Thats a bit presumptuous, even though my profile states I live in London and I have never made any attempt to indicate that I want to move to another country.

I could presume you like crystal meph and it makes you high as a fairy.
laugh
And I am sure that's not the case. Is it? noway no of course not.
My nickname is just that. Not an indication to where I am from or what I want.

I had a thought think
I might change my nickname to
"I want your mind body& soul daily but your body more"
Maybe that will get me some replies?

Why don't people reply to messages you send?

Perhaps they are no longer logging onto the site, they are no longer active, they are in a relationship, moved on, or possible not real. There is no need to over-react. You might check to see if they have read your profile, which is a feature of this site you can check. If you find they have viewed your profile and then don't reply, they are probably not interested in you for one reason or another.

I use to respond with "sorry" not my type, we are worlds apart but after a few negative replies I just started blocking them.

Not everyone we meet in real life will converse with us. Enjoy the forums.

I've also learned that "no reply" is a good reply!
For example it for 1 shows their interest in you as a person 2 it shows they may be a little conceited about themselves on not wanting to find out the type of person you really are. Or just plain dumb only wanting to benefit themselves not caring for a really meaningful relationship in the first place. "This is also the profile of most Scammers on here!!" Ask for Friends First of corse when you have been on here for awhile letting others see you!! Join the discussions, be Honest, show you have Morals!!
