Ha, screw that. I don't pay squat on the first few dates. Just free walks in the park or incidental expenditures when I put together something home made. We lower-classmen aren't made of cash. Not even a cappuccino?  Lol, well come on, sure! My dates tend to have an organic feel to them. So while I'll have something in particular in mind, there's plenty of leeway. For example, if I go on a hike with someone, I'll usually take pity and get them something to warm them up. Or if they're hungry I'll feed them. But yeah no, my first few dates don't usually cost me a dime. I like to get to know a lot of people and I'd like to do it without breaking my bank, and if that's a problem for a girl, she can take her illogical self to some loser and suck him dry instead (not REMOTELY what I meant, for those of you giggling at that). xD I wasn't even REMOTELY thinking of that, now I am Thanks for that  *tip of the hat* Always a pleasure to inadvertently introduce raunchy jokes to the discussion. xD Hahaha, I'm with Crystal, I didn't go there, until you did. I guess I should've directed that comment toward the male population whose minds generally seem more geared in that direction, although my guess is the net result would still be the same and all the normal people would still be like, "ugh...it's too early to be thinking about this...and it always will be too early." xD I thought it was funny....we need more funny on this site, lately so many people have had their boxers and panties in a twist, we need levity, dammit... So if I meet a girl and I want to get to know her the first thing I have to do is make sure I can afford her, why is that? I have to buy a women dinner or take her some place nice and preferably expensive because if I don't she won't even take the time to get to know me. To me, it seems incredibly vein. Ahh but they are worth it.....  ...sometimes. The most I invested in a person as far as dating goes was with a girl who I discovered was playing me and two or three other guys. So never again, I'm going to withhold my investments until I come to know character better. I refuse to be walked on like that by anyone again. Wow, it's hard for me to balance one guy, I can't imagine having more than one. She must have been multi-tasking her butt off.... |

How's this for an answer since the OP is not looking for advice. I am worth so much because I take care of myself. Anything I want or desire I can get for myself. I work hard for it. I enjoy it. Why should I view myself as less to make you feel better? My parents kicked my *** to make sure I did better in school and in life. Some women had **** handed to them. A lot didn't. So there is your answer. 2 reason why women feel they are worth much. Men are so funny..one complains that women aren't old fashioned enough, then another one comes along {same age} and complains about why women want to be wine and dined {sighs} I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING!! We can't win

CrystalFairy I'm not talking about dating random girls and then getting to know them, I'm talking about taking out girls that the guy already knows. You do realized you judged me when you called me judgmental... welcome to the club. Not even a cappuccino, why should he have to pay at all? Would you go on a date with a guy who expected you to buy him something? no I prefer dates that are not expensive but if a guy asked me out and expected me to pay , it would be the last date |

I think men set the prices. therefore they should pay for dates to make for the difference and the dishonesty I simply will not date a man who has an issue with picking up the tab...also will not date a guy who will not let ME treat if I am so inclined |

I can't say I am like that. I have never liked a man trying to buy my love which is why I can't stand expensive dinners or gifts either. Some women are certainly obsessed with a man's wealth but to be fair some men are obsessed with a woman's looks and won't give her the time of day if she isn't pretty enough. Sad that our society is brainwashed that way. For the record; I don't think I am worth that much either.
