Topic: Are older men interested in older women???

I am a woman in my early fities. Have been divorced for 14 years. I am ready to get back into the dating scene, and wondering if older men truly interested in meeting older women or are they only looking for young trophy gorlfriends/ wives?

Methinks the older ones, who are insecure, will still seek the eye candy. Somehow, what they see in the mirror is negated by the bling of youth on their arm. The less you care about that, the more they will flock about you :-)

I can't speak for others, but, my humble opinion, based on years and experience? Both men AND women who tend to date much younger people and or "trophies" are usually pretty immature, egotistical & on the self absorbed side? And, younger women can't compare to the grace, confidence & sexy sophistication of a mature woman....

I prefer someone within 5 to 7 years of my age. The reason is I wouldn't be able to relate with someone more than 7 years younger than me.

I know, my oldest son (he's 25) has been praying that someone will adopt me. Oh, btw, we were talking about you over in the meaningless thread. Don't worry, it was very nice, rather neutral. Someone please answer a 25 year old child's prayer, make my son happy and adopt ME.

Hi Tammy. Yes of course there are older guys who will be conceited enough to believe that young girls would be interested in them and that's obviously true to a point. However most of it's just ego. I believe that a woman of a similar age to me has many attractions. I have experience of a younger girl. When I was 38 I received much attention from a girl of 17. Yes I agree that I should have deterred her but at the time I allowed my ego to get the better of me. She became pregnant & we eventually had a beautiful daughter. However, my point is that I always worried when she would want someone her own age. I always felt slightly awkward when her friends met me. I also couldn't stop myself chiding her over irritating things she kept doing. I always felt like I needed to act youthful.Yes "eye candy" sounds cool but in practice has many pitfalls.With similar aged woman I feel more relaxed and natural. We share experiences and I find that I can converse on an intellectual level. Could go on but I think you get the gist. Yes I would prefer an "older"woman any day

After getting my heart reamed by a woman half my age. I am thinking it to be better to date in my own age group. Strangely enough the woman half my age was less mature than me. It surprised me, too.

Didn't realize I was in the older crowd until i joined this service...lol/ however I believe I would be more comfortable with a woman of my own time...listen to me talking like an older person...at this stage in my life I am very serious about a meaningful relationship..not any games. Don't sweat over the things just enjoy the flow....

Hello, Have been single for 5 years. I am 65 years old. I dated maybe a handful of times in the past 5 years. I am not eye candy, But don't believe I am bad on the eyes. Very rarely do guys my age try to connect with me or even ask for a date.
