Oh the photo dump argument. you win laugh

I know its easy to go through life without putting to put much critical thought into the current state of affairs.

who in the hell do you think owns the government? Its not you or I that's a given.

The financial Elite pull all strings and get things done their way the elected people be democrat or republican answer to the money.

Speak for yourself because I do own my government, so your given clause is flawed.

And the financial elite can do as they want but if they tread on my rights, then they must pay the toll.

But the sheeple just roll over and life goes on.
exactly what influence do you have over our government? How about the media?

You think the way the media tells you and you have no influence at all compared to a rich fat cat who bankrolls the politics.

The elite run the government to protect their interests.
They own the media to influence your opinions.
Everyone in the chain of command jump over each other to serve them.

Fitting for this topic.

A doctor from France says:"In France , the medicine is so advanced that we cut off a man's testicles; we put them into another man, and in 6 weeks he is looking for work."

A German doctor comments quietly : "That's nothing, in Germany we take part of the brain out of a person; we put it into another person head, and in 4 weeks he is looking for work."

A Russian doctor says boasting :"That's nothing either. In Russia we take out half of the heart from a person; we put it into another person's chest, and in 2 weeks he is looking for work."

The U.S. doctor laughs and answers loudly immediately: "That's nothing my colleagues, you are way behind us....in the USA , about 5 years ago, we grabbed a person from Kenya with no brains, no heart, and no balls....we made him President of the United States, and now....... the whole damn country is looking for work.

Right, and those workers earn no money, nor spend such money, nor affect economic systems, so those cities that happen to situate around military bases in, say, Texas are mere illusions and not really cities. Businesses therein are lies and remain open solely by virtue of bribes and government grants. Of course, if those government departments are closed, the local economy is equally unaffected.

Think what he was trying to say this the economy is truly boosted if the job created creates capital as well. This is primarily a public market deal. Unless uncle sam hires a bunch of people to produce vehicles or houses, etc., pays those employees fair wages, and sells those products for fair prices...

Any job that doesn't, only redistributes wealth, instead of building or adding to the economy.

The hoover damn comes to my mind. Spend a billion on something like that and you create wealth, spend a billion on a stealth bomber and you just spent a billion.

Really, and what was the price of the Hoover Dam? And whose wealth did it create? How is that different from the stealth bomber?

Did you actually give this some thought or did it just sound "cool"?

Your government, not mine, I reside in the Republic known as these united States. I am of the people in which all power resides. I deny the benefit and accept the responsibility. And I rule the judicial system. I am not a victim.

What about the media? It is not I that subscribes to the morality of the sheeple. Watching the mass media is but like watching a good comedy, you get some good laughs but you can't really take it seriously.

But then you are saying you are incapable of self thought so I guess it does apply to you. I bet you are really into sports too, aren't you? Can't wait for the ole Dumbobowl to occupy your mind so you don't have to think. The Romans used to use the gladiators to keep the masses entertained. I guess that was ok with most so long as they weren't the ones having to go a round with the lions.

YOU may not be aware but it generates electricity cheaply and cleanly. so yea it was a great investment. What good is a stealth bomber? what are we defending here in Uber Umerika? good jobs? a great way of life? freedom?

Oh sir, I am very aware. The Hoover dam cost 112 lives to build and the stealth bomber doesn't cost lives until after it is built. And both cause intense environmental impacts.

And as for good jobs and a great way of life, you have no idea. Mindset stuck on all that indoctrination. Well no problem, there will be a test shortly and those failing will mean well fed vultures and beetles.

If you were so aware why did you even ask the question? I child could explain the difference between investing in a stealth bomber and investing in something like a hoover dam.

But I will thank you for the banter we are snowed in here in Ohio and I am doing chores multi tasking but have a nice evening planned so I will have to take this up another day.

Really, a child could explain the difference, that I will agree with up until the indoctrination takes hold. But you are really having a problem and haven't done so yet.

So by your analogy, does that portend that perhaps the indoctrination has reduced your ability to less than a child?

Ah, multi-tasking, the ability to screw up multiple things simultaneously.

There was an interesting proposition an economist brought up once about attaching the dollar to infrastructure instead of gold or fiat currency. Government wouldn't be able to just print the money, instead they would have to build a bridge, or building, etc. Was quite interesting. Your comment made me think of it.

If it's something people benefit from directly, then it does, indeed, constitute capital.

the unemployment is bipartisan and goes back decades to the first free trade agreement. If one wishes to lay blame lay it in the corporate interests that built up China. They took their jobs and fled to a country with no environmental or labor laws. Then sold the crap back to us.

They built china up and now we have to face them in a new cold war further draining our society of tax dollars. Its a global scam and we are the new peasants.

china's fault...whoa

i guess your stupid unions had nothing to do with it...

BTW, where's chevy located at now? give you a hint... it's not china or the US, and the unions were to blame for that

Getting back to the topic of the OP ...

Folks, the unemployment rate is partly due to a mismatch between the skills that unemployed people have and the skills required for available jobs.

People with unneeded skills will have more difficulty obtaining work than people with needed skills.

Sometimes, the mismatch is due to a difference between where the skilled person lives and where the job requiring the skills is located.

It used to be that people were willing to move to a different community or a different state in order to obtain work. People moved to where the jobs were. Nowadays, plenty of people want the jobs to come to where they are.

Did many move to the Hebei Province in northern China?

Do you mean the jobs that U.S. labor unions sent there?
