I have known a few successful relationships resulting in marriage by people first meeting in the work place, and I have known of a few divorces as well through relationships forming that should not have done. Yes, I would date someone from the office providing they were single and not in a relationship.

I don't generally think its a good idea.

Unless one is VERY good at turning their personal emotions off at the workplace door and their workplace feelings off outside of it,,,,

The only time i've worked in an office, is when i've been doing building work in them. Don't know what it is about women in offices seeing guys with toolbelts, power tools and a hard hat, working away, but it seems to send them weak at the knees sometimes!

If both parties can not survive well losing either or both jobs; which is often the result of office romances then go for it.

Be smart inner office email is often monitored by employers so if you send lovey-dovey emails everyone is going to know your business fast.

Count on one or both people having to find employment somewhere else because it rarely works long term to share home and work place with your partner.

Keep in mind someone who lanks common sense and hunts mates in the office often cheats in the office.

For me no, I would never date anyone I work with as it is very unprofessional. If things don't work out; going to work would be very uncomfortable and one of you may end up having to give up the job.

If you spend a lot of your life in close quarters
with the opposite sex, things are going to happen.

I married a co-worker, worked fine.
Though they would not let us work together so I quit :-)

The first job that I had was in an office and I hated it. It was like being back at school. They didn't like me much either and when the boss called me into his office to give me my cards one of the reasons that he gave me was that I hadn't asked any of the girls out that worked there.

Why didn't you let him quit?

I've done that a few times.
Took me a while to learn to not chit where I eat.

Fatal Attraction

For the simple reason I knew they would bump him
instead of me and he really liked that job :-)

Agree though, afterwards is the hardest part, bad
enough when an ex knows where you live and/or has
your number..but working with them after..can be brutal.
