As a single mother i don't see a problem with it. I actually reather date a man with kids. Then a man without. Because at least the one with kids will understand my situation better. I think its a great thing that more fathers are taking custody of their children. And i honestly believe no matter what the case is kids or not. If someone really wants to be with you they will accept you children as well.

Well I was inspired by one of the other members to start this one up. I would love to know what you think of us dads who have full custody of their kids. I know doesn't happen often but it does happen. Myself I have been hated on had women break dates as soon as they found out I have kids. so I really need to know what you think so please help me out....

They might think you don't have enough time for them.

Yeah; I found that to be true. I think women are better at juggling their time with dating and kids than guys. I find men overcompensate for their kids and completely ignore the woman they are dating. Tried several times to date single dads and never worked. Also; one thing to consider is that the kids may not even like the woman you are dating. Been there done that and would never ever date a single dad.

it all depends on if the dad uses his kids to pick up chicks or get people tp validate him self or not.

any human that uses kids to validate their own position in life, doesn't deserve much good from any others in lifer in my book.

and pity their poor children, the one's used for an adults own personal gain.

For me, its never a question. Im single without kids but would never put someone off because he has them. If I care for him Ill care for his kids too, since they are part of his life and him. Its just about ones ability and will to except another person with everything thats connected with him or not.

I know what you mean. I'M a single dad of two amazing kids. And it's so easy for a single mom to find a guy who will accept their kids. But I want so much to find a decent woman who will love me and my kids and it seems they are extinct.

Ladies are open when it comes to dating a single dad, but on the other side of the coin, men fear to date single mothers.

Single dads should be every bit as sacrosanct as single mums ...

Beware the predatory cougars that are just looking to shoplift the pootie ... laugh laugh laugh

Nothing hotter than a man who takes care of his kids!!! flowerforyou...

I agree with her and please dont call your kids extra baggage.. I never call my kids that, they are my riches... Because if they are extra baggage you wont fight for them..

When life is getting you down,
And you need a little hope.
Look deep down inside yourself,
And you'll find the way to cope.

When life is getting you down,
And you need a little love.
Go to the person whom you are the closest,
As the rest they are above.

When life is getting you down,
And all you need is a laugh.
Find the friend that makes you smile,
They may even be your staff.

When life is getting you down,
Don't allow it so.
Change the way you think of life,
And life will be better, you know.

When life is getting you down,
Take time to pray
Don't allow yourself to frown
God will help you see the good in the day.

Basically it is the same story as it is for single Moms. some see kids as a hindrance and a cause for jealousy while the rest see it as a sign of maturity and responsibility. Personally I think its wonderful. good luck to you.

I think its nice to see dads step up and take care of their kids...you might not get a lot of free time but you can still have fun dating...to offer a little advise...do your kids a favor and don't expose them too much,..if at all to your dating life...they don't need to meet every girl you date...it really messes with their heads...especially if they really like her and you deside you don't ....good luck to ya..

So I have a twisted sense of humor and I am sarcastic as they come throw in a lot of smart *** and guess who??? ME I am by no means perfect but I am a hell of a lot better than 75% of the guys out there so just talk to me and you will find out, I more than likely will surprise you I can hold an intellectual conversation with the best of them or I can be a smart *** quick witted punk that tells you to go **** yourself,

After reading this in your profile as most have not obviously, it puts a new light on "DAD"

Being a father is a rewarding and difficult experience.

To some it is a novelty. To others, a deterrence. To most, a respected and honored tradition. I am pleased to see the latter is the overwhelming opinion here.

I had a class in non-violent parenting when my child was very young. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. The relationship I have now is so much better. It is based on mutual trust not power and control. Just any relationship with a significant other should be (man or woman).

The quote I recall most from that class: Children are inconvenient.

It has helped me remember my focus and maintain my priorities when my faith is challenged.

bye now...

Women who don't love kids frown at a man having custody of his kids.
I love kids and will always love and appreciate a man with his kids, it shows he is family oriented
