no aspartame at all....I read up on that, and I was using splenda in my coffee every morning...but then I read aspartame could be a contributing factor to heartburn...so I switched back to regular sugar and my heartburn has gotten A LOT better

My girl friend gets it pretty regular too, but since switching she says it isn't as painful but still gets it....but she drinks a lot of diet soda as well....that's why I switched to the "throwback" editions...real sugar...but be warned...they may taste a little "flat" compared to diet verions

There fixed it laugh
Yeah aspartame is broken down into methanol, but so are other foods we eat...such as tomato juice/citrus fruits...both of which can cause heartburn....nothing specifically says it causes it but I read that on snopes and thought "if it is digested the same way as tomato juice, and citrus fruit...maybe that is why I get it on a constant basis.." so I tried not doing it anymore and it worked here is the snopes article if you're interested http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/aspartame.asp

for heartburn relief..
...Zantac..150.mg.. once a day and your ..good to go..
. they also make a generic version.. a bit cheaper.. works as good... and your physician.. if you get . heartburn frequently... can prescribe a pill for you... that all but takes away the . cause of your heartburn...
