Russia has called on the UNSC and OSCE to urgently consider the crisis in Ukraine, saying that the announcement made by the Kiev authorities on Sunday to mobilize military forces to put down protests in the south-east of the country is a 'criminal order.'

Events in south-eastern Ukraine have taken a very dangerous turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

"The Kiev authorities, who self-proclaimed themselves as a result of a coup, have embarked on the violent military suppression of the protests," the ministry said adding that the rallies, which have gripped the Donbas region were prompted by Kiev's disregard of the legitimate interests the people.

Moscow slammed Sunday's order, issued by the coup-imposed acting President Aleksandr Turchinov approving a full-scale security operation in the country'��s eastern regions, as "criminal".

"Blood has already been spilled as the result of such actions in the South East."

The ministry's statement elaborated that Russia strongly condemns attempts to use brutal force against protesters and activists by involving militants from the far-right Right Sector group or other illegal armed forces.

The West should bring its allies in Ukraine's government under control, Moscow said stressing "it depends on the West now to stop the civil war in Ukraine".

Back in August 2012, things were a lot different in Washington DC and in the White House.

The Obama administration was brandishing a confident swagger back then, heading into the elections against a hobbling GOP opponent, and Benghazi had yet to unfold in all of its ugliness.

As Hillary Clinton was jetting around on the US State Department budget promoting her 'Friends of Syria' Middle East and European tours, and as the CIA were busy like bees working in the gray shadows of Benghazi, Washington and London were laying the groundwork for their new WMD case is Syria.

As last summer drew to a close, President Barack Obama confidently announced he was drawing a 'Red Line' in Syria regarding the use of chemical weapons, meaning that any evidence of their use on either side of that conflict would lead to consequences, the obvious inference being automatic US military intervention.

Fast forward to the present, and Washington appears to have been caught in the vortex of its own spin machine, with White House Press Secretary Jay Carney recently forced to 'clarify' the President's infamous 'Red Line' decree with what can only be described as desperate political cover. Here Carney attempted to explain away the previous ultimatum and re-explain the President's position:

"What the president made clear is that it was a red line, and that it was unacceptable, and that it would change his calculus... What he never did - and it is simplistic to do so is to say that 'if X happens, Y will happen'. He has never said what reaction he would take."

It'��s hard to run a global empire and still pander to sensitive liberal concerns at home. The White House seems to be at pains coming to terms with what the Neoconservative Bush government already knew a decade ago - that there really is no good, safe way to do a military intervention. In the end, the facade of political spin cannot provide ethical cover for invading and toppling another sovereign state. You can't finesse your way into it, you have to just go for it in full view - lie if you have to, fabricate evidence if need be, and be damned with the political fallout.

So now two pictures on the wall "fill" the kitchen? I don't see why you have to read so much into it, anyway. The slogans on the posters are ridiculous, and probably hung to be ironic or quaint. That's all those posters are ever used for, anymore.

Now, if instead of those WWII posters, they had this year's latest message from the Kremlin, or possibly a flag from the CPUSA, then you wouldn't look so stupid for posting this crap.

When you look at Obozos choices for the varying positions of power in govt, it's not so hard to believe that Carney wasn't carefully chosen for his stances or support of the presidents anti-American agenda!
