I know most of us have heard the saying love knows no distance. Well is it true? If so why is it? If not why is it? For me it's true because you can find love where you want to find love and only you decide how far you will go for love.

LDR's don't work for me, at least if we've never met first... but to each their own, it works great for others...

Love knows no boundaries.
It holds no limitations.
Love knows no beginning and no end.
It is eternal...

There are many facets and depths to 'love'.

To each their own...

Done tried the LDR's more then once third time is not a charm for me... not going there...

I'm not willing to move or willing to ask anyone to up root themselves from their lives...

Local or nothing for me....

People say, Love knows no distance, but I'm sorry...
I strongly disagree ( sort of)

Being online hoping to make a connection with someone is great!
but WE ALL look to see where that " wonderful" person is from.
If someone lives hundreds or thousands of miles away from me.. Why bother even saying hello?

However, If This person lived minutes from me and we fell in love... that's a whole other ball game!

I would go to the ends of the earth for MY man... not a prospect.
My Man.

Not everyone can just travel wherever they like at will. If they could distance wouldn't matter but it does. I don't even travel outside of my home town for dates. If they want to do the traveling though I'm somewhat open to it.

Personally, I don't really believe that you can know without meeting someone. Well, not unless it's like some intimate encounter casual sex hookup.

Never again will I let my heart go some where that my feet can not take me...

Totally understand where you are coming from, TeeBee.

I was speaking from a spiritual love than relationship per se. One of those multiple facets. flowerforyou

What I can't understand is, unless someone is willing to migrate, why are they even looking for a long-distance lover? Don't they get just as frustrated as most, when they want a night of hot sex? Why would they look to get it from far away, when they could find someone nearer to them? Surely it would make more sense. This is exactly why I never took any guy seriously, when he wants to flirt with me, but is in a different country. As for Ireland, that's a whole other matter, for a different reason. I have distant family there, so I wouldn't mind migrating there. It's a family connection thing.

Love is a retrospect, an observation not a declaration. Difficult to establish if you've never even met.

If established in physical reality however, why would it know any bounds whether distance or any other? It's a retrospect of things which have already come to pass. Does your memory of home fade when you go on a holiday?
