It is one thing to say, "I prefer to date within my race."
It is another thing to say, "Interracial dating is immoral."

The former is a personal preference. So be it.

The latter has no justification that I know of.
The latter isn't a New Testament teaching, isn't a Christian teaching.
As a Christian, I reject the latter as being contrary to the Gospel message.

Using religion to make decisions makes George Carlin a bit shifty in his grave.

only for those who are non religious

religion is an organized system of beliefs

it is human to make decisions based upon our beliefs, whether they are labeled 'religious' or not,,,

This forum is for discussions on white ladies looking for white me...what are your thoughts on the matter? I made this forum in efforts to find and help others like myself find what we are looking for? Would you like to share what you're looking for? What is your definition of perfect in a man/woman?

Snaketitsss7,

Your response to the critiques of your first post is a positive one.
Good for you. Welcome to the site. drinker

For what it's worth, I brought up the "religion" angle so as to point out the fact that the Christian faith does not forbid interracial dating, which is why I am not opposed to it.

So....it's crazy how often times, many(not all) women, seem to be completely wired by their emotions. For example: you know how often times young girls, by their kind heartedness, seem to want to adopt every stray animal that comes along? Well I'm beginning to wonder if later in their age, perhaps the kind heartedness carries over towards their relationship choices. Often times I have seen beautiful, ambitious women take up with what seems to be some of the most unambiguous, unemployed, immature men that really have no ambition whatsoever in life. It's like they just feel bad for them, and the next minute..they steal the woman's heart away. Lol the guy may even treat the woman badly, and still she'll chase him to the end of the world, now I reckon why that is? This is merely a question...no offense intended towards anyone who may be unemployed or anythinghappy

Where this guy is right is that the media can shape how we think about things. Listen to him and his regurgitated opinions. Something original would be spectacular.

I remember seeing that Mississippie Burning movie and it left me feeling disgusted not only by the really bad racial hate crimes but by the everyday racism and bigotry that is so much a part of the culture that a lot of people don't even think that it's offensive or "unchristian". Where I'm from there's not a lot of racial prejudice against blacks because there aren't all that many of them and we don't have the history of having slaves right here picking cotton for us. There is a Pakistani community and there's some racism towards them but the problems here have historically been between protestants and catholics. I grew up during the time when the "troubles" in Northern Ireland were at their worst and every night when you put on the news it was all about IRA bombers killing people for their "cause" and also the protestant terrorist backlash. There is a bit of a sticking to your own kind mentality here and if I check out profiles on here from Glasgow where there are a lot of catholics and where there has been a lot of sectariean conflicts a lot of them feel the need to say whether they are catholic or protestant, even though most of them aren't really religious at all and it has more to do with history and patriotism. If you go to a Rangers match they all wave the union jack and taunt the catholics with patriotic songs and chants. The cops are trying to stamp that out now but it still goes on and now there are a lot of Polish imigrants and apparently more catholics than protestants in the UK because of that. So yeah, it just isn't about being white or black here and nobody really cares about that. Not in Scotland anyway.

I lived In Wales for a moment, I also got the vibe that the bigotry of the day was about nationalism ,,,,,

a lot of bigotry towards 'pakis' , not much fondness of the 'english',

and the negative comments we heard (when we heard them directed at us) were about us being 'american',, not black,,,,,

kind of similar when you think about it though, its a prejudgment of an entire group of people that's based , basically, on little more than geography,,,, either current or ancestral,,,

ridiculousness on either part,,,,,imho

It's not entirely ridiculous. Prejudice against papists here and in Northern Ireland is about not wanting to be dictated to by Rome. There are issues such as abortion, contraception and homosexuality that catholic countries legislate against, depending on papal decrees and as a protestant country we want to keep religious faith as a personal matter and we would view it as a form of oppression if we had a religious moral majority or faction trying to tell us what to do or meddling in politics. In other words, it's about wanting this country to remain a secular state and what we would consider to be ridiculous here would be the kinds of things that are going on in America which seem quite medieval to us.

not wanting to be dictated by an entity or government is a bit different than prejudging all of the population of a country, or nation or other geographic location,,,

there is enough ridiculousness to go around,, in all areas of the world,,

but I respect your experience and the feelings arising from it

Well if people even think I'm gonna join in with their racial hate, they can go swivel. I wouldn't bother being on an international site if I felt so against other races. I have many friends, from many parts of the world. I don't want to make anyone feel inferior. And why can't people get along? Is it nice if people think you're a bully? I doubt it.

Most of America's problems today can be directly related to an unenlightened immigration policy on the part of the American Indian
