Have you ever caught yourself getting upset at someone for doing the same thing to you that you have done to someone else?

Does it help to calm you down when you think about it being something you have done, or does it convince you to change your behavior?

I realize that communicating via message and email is a high risk activity and that there are often times people get no responses and feel rejected or upset about it. I know that I am one of those people who rarely bothers with a response once Im disinterested or turned off by something. I think knowing that about myself causes me not to take it personally and be hurt if others dont always respond to my responses,,,

lol,, if that makes sense.

What, when you think about, makes you upset when others do it but you are also guilty of?

please keep in mind, if hthis is a goofy subject, I havent had much sleep lately..lol

Very little of what you say usually makes sense (LOL); people have always tended to copy me- catchphrases, POV, interests, etc. I remember hanging out with a woman because a friend of mine had up left when she got pregnant- during this time, I realized that she was realizing that what she liked about him where things he picked up about me (and I needed to get out of there!) Also, I was recently called on the carpet for making a statement at work that offended a co-worker, less than a month later, I heard her making the same comment. This used to bother me a lot, but now I see it as a compliment.

Sometimes I can get a bit too obssessed with trying to sort out problems. While wanting to sort problems is a good thing, I never try to involve myself anymore, as I felt it was me being a bit nosy. I figure people will sort out their own problems, in their own time. I just concentrate on my own, now. It's okay to care about people to a point, but too much interfering can cause annoyance.

I completely understand about the "online" thing and (for myself) choose to get over it.

When "trying" to debate....or even "argue" in a healthy way, I have a tendency to hold up a mirror.....and it comes across (or IS) mocking. It's not very endearing anyway. lol

I can do better!

I think all of this is equivalent to a big pile of horse crap... Sometimes you step in it... Hose it off and try to watch out for the next pile...

If I get my feelings hurt on here, it is because I deserve to for thinking that what someone else thinks of me is my business...

If I hurt your feelings by something I say on here, well I am somewhat flattered that for a second you gave me enough power to do so.. :)

Yes, I can take what you dish, it kind of turns me on blushing

not sure how someone thinking you are an *** .. Equates to hurt feelings ... Laughing. To hurt someone's feelings .. They have to like or value you in the first place.

Thank you for your time, I feel special that you gave me such a precious commodity as that. smitten

Well probably happens to most of us.

I know I can sometimes get sarcastic with people I find very offensive. When it happens to me - I'm not offensive however  - I may not take it as well.

I'm especially insulted by those horrible women who flirt back with me just because I flirted with them.

People! rant

we are all human and make mistakes. just because I have made the mistake before that you are making now does not mean it is OK

perhaps just dealing with individual situations as they arise and showing some understanding when someone else makes a mistake that we have made and hope they pay it forward (the understanding).

someday somewhere we will all need that understanding returned to us :)
