It's so sad when people don't know what they have when they push others away until they're gone. And even sadder if they push them away and don't realize they've lost anything. Or possibly they always did realize, and that's their regret. Even worse when they push them away, and then they blame you for not giving them another chance.

I was a glutton for punishment.

I kept going back for more of it.

It took me a ling time to learn that someone can't be anything to anyone else until they love themselves. If they can't be happy with who they are, nothing we can do will change that. Then you have to love yourself enough to let them go

sometimes they just take others for granted and don;t mean to push them away, but that is how it is perceived and that is what happens...

if someone pushes me away and then blames me for not giving them another chance, I would probably say that they had several chances (because that is how I am) and I need to make the best decision for myself as far as going or staying

and that I do not appreciate their trying to deflect the blame.

I've always given one the opportunity to recover and leave the door open - but once an emotional rift has occurred I cannot just pick up the pieces and start over, or continue. The bonds of friendship are built on trust and I have difficulty, after having giving someone enough chances, of being there again to get hurt and used as a doormat. 'Forgive and forget' doesn't also cut it - in my experience time, reflection and healing has. I know we all make mistakes, but running after someone? No, I think I deserve better than that, and as sweetestgirl11 said, I do not appreciate being blamed for someone else's shortcomings or short-sightedness.

I think there's a certain stigma attached to people who are needed and when it comes a moment for you to need them the game changes.

I was there when she needed me.
She got well and left again.

A little offtopic but, your main picture is very visual and sensual.

Reminds me of the view I enjoy of the woman lying down.

The rock pile her little mound, the water being her abdomen, the valley her cleavage and the red, white and yellow hews being the aura of an explosive sensation.

I sure hope I'm not the only one who noticed.

I'll put mine up. Georgia O'Keeffe painted it.

I come to realize most women i encounter as a customer service and telephone operator.
The percentage of women i meet are rude, self centered, mean, arrogant, and think they are in charge. They look down on men, myself included.
Personally i think its getting worse as each day goes so sad.

Omfg!

It wasn't about you.

It was the visual of the photo chosen.

Many of Georgia O'Keeffe works are sensual.

Many, many folks appreciate her art.

Anyone else here have an appreciation for her art?

I've never learned how to push people away. At least not far enough for it to be permanent.
Sometimes that has been a good thing, other times they have been like a herpes virus. Always
lurking under the surface, waiting to erupt.
Maybe they just can't live without my smile.
Sucks to be me:banana:

Totally agree,,but I believe in time they will try to come back in your life
Because there was something very special about you in the first place
You will leave something they will seek again

who can't love you back ...
