Honestly,i think they're =,obviously difrient but some what equal, caus for 1,words LEADS to action half times or more,i dont know if you read your bible or beleive in it ect,but soloman was the wisest man,and he spoke about how the tounge is such a serious thing, but unless your...well dumb or just mentaly challenged ect,(no offence intended to anyone)then you would know the power of the tounge!!

Truthfully the only power a word has is the power given to the word by the receiving party.

Sometimes I can become so easily moved by words. Especially post's about courage. But I have to be careful, because I know not everyone may tell the truth online, so I'm really aware of that.

Even offline, things people have said to me, hit me like a bolt of lightening. Positive things. Stuff that I could smile about for the rest of my life. Some compliments I get, seem to throw me, because I get overwhelmed, and they make me happy to be alive. drinks

they impact in different ways, but yes

for me, words impact the spirit just as much as punches impact the flesh

Words are part of your behavior.......from your lies......to the deepest way you toil to say the absolute "perfect" thing to the people you love.

thanks for the replies, i didn't expect that.

i know that words also is part of our behavior, i just could not express myself correct in english.

''for me, words impact the spirit just as much as punches impact the flesh''

that is a really nice sentence. combined with this quote; ''Truthfully the only power a word has is the power given to the word by the receiving party.''

a stranger on the street may not be able to hurt us with his words, but don't u think that there is a trigger mechanism? If he finds the right words, which maybe represent our problems, without him even knowing, it might hurt you.

for example a young girl going to the gym everyday fighting her weight. is confronted with an idiot at a party who is bullying because she has got a couple of pounds to much on her waste.

in this szenario a total stranger is able to hurt our soul.

if somebody beats me up real bad, my body hurts but my emotions stay in tact. i would be able top recover!

but can you recover from a broken soul?

I believe the soul heals much more slowly than the body,,,

how do you heal a soul?

i am a psychologist, and i just can't find an answer that would satisfy me.
i might be in a job crisis, since that is what i am supposed to do.

Words can have an impact of who you are and how you view yourself....look at the impact of when a man says he loves a woman and see a change in both....

Words matter and they have the power wound instantly when used improperly.

Actions take a little more time to soak in and analyse.

EDIT*

Words also have the power to heal instantly too!

Again, actions take more time to remedy, and it may never be enough to heal a S.O.

Words can inspire, to many things. They are used as weapons and hold great power beyond the obvious.

Images contain thousands of words.

Actions will reveal intent behind words.

Inspite of my behavior / tone of voice, my dog is always happy to see me.

On Pavlovs door was a sign: Do not ring the bell, please knock.

Be good to a dog, and the dog will give u unconditional love.

negative words leave a lasting damaging impact. it takes multiple positive phrases and actions to even begin to erase the damage
