In the 70's and 80's we were going into an ice age.

It's all about the Benjamins! Cap and trade

Al Gore is an idiot opportunist. "Carbon Credits" is a scam not unlike Obamacare.

The planet is warming and a large part of it is due to the amount of coal, oil, and gas we burn. The science is sound. The NASA website is an excellent website to see how the Earth is changing.

The instability caused by the overall increase in Earth's temperature actually causes some areas to be colder, hence, climate change. However, the blanket effect of warming caused by the CO2 produced by Man is scientifically impossible to ignore.

Climate change is very evident where I live.
My family has been on this farm since 1910. The main controlling factor
with farming, is the weather. Until 15 or so years ago, lack of rainfall was
basically the norm. This is after all, classified as a semi arid region.
Now, too much precipitation is our biggest obstacle. And it's not just a few random
storms or heavy showers. We are having to adapt to a totally different climate, than
what the generations before had. I'm not calling it good or bad. But it is definitely a change.

West Texas used to be one of the largest and most dependable hard wheat growing areas in the US. It is now becoming a part of the expansion of the Mexican Chihuahuan desert.

and today

and national conditions get worse

Many areas are experiencing extreme weather conditions that have never been seen in most people's lifetimes.
