They don't make good horror like they used to in the old days. Classic horror is the only way to go on Halloween Michael Myers, Freddie Kreuger, Chucky, and so on.

Actually they have made some pretty good horror films over the last 10 to 15 years. The original SAW was a great origin film. The Ring (I know it was based off of Ringu) was also very good, as was The Descent, Dawn of the Dead (remake) and Jeepers Creepers (a film that had the chance to be epic). I love the old slasher days but horror films of today aren't all bad.

Well, when people say classic horror I think of films from the golden age like the Universal monster movies and Val Lewton's produced output like the original Cat People, and The Body Snatcher.

But there's classics from all decades:smile:

There's still excellent horror films being made today.

Thb a lot of the new horror films are not all great nothing beats the classics like the exorcist and the shining u really can't call saw a horror movie it's more like suspense movie but the Texas chainsaw massacre remake with R.lee Ermy , and the hills have eyes remake was pretty good

i would have to agree there....the new horrors are not all that great....i still enjoyed the classics
