Of course when working you'll have to live by the clock to an extend.
Same if you have younger children at home.

But if you could choose, during weekends or holidays or a sabbatical, would you still do all your day to day things at set times? Maybe even have specific days to do things, i.e. always eat fries on Wednesday, do the laundry on Friday, the shopping on Saturday etc.
Is it difficult for you to deviate from such a 'programme'?
Could and would you be flexible and compromise if your new love interest is rather different in this?

I already am flexible.....I eat when I'm hungry.....I do laundry when I need it.....apart from workdays I get up whenever I want.....

In the future I think that might change..hehe..

Yes I will be flexible for my partner drinker drinker

Nothing is rigid in life, hence everything has opposite side.Change is sacrosanct in life as well as in relationships

I'm like that as well. Of course I have approx times for lunch, dinner, getting up etc. but I don't mind if it varies. Dinner may be later when I'm happily working on a painting or there's guests coming over etc.
I wash the windows when it's starting to look like the neighbour's house across the street has vanished, lol. Not that bad, of course, but if I don't feel like it, it can wait till I'm up for it.

Work-wise I prefer varying hours, or the work itself has to be challenging and different all the time.

Im extremely flexible. I like being a morning person tho generally.

I will stay up with the big kids on occasion too.

I should add...I dont keep a schedule, but I do pace myself during the course of the day...like I dont want to get nothing done all morning so I only allow myself to sit sippin coffee for so long, then I gotta be productive or I feel like carp.

oh, and I couldn't compromise in a productive schedule, but when I do things is negotiable.

I used to be like that when I was a stay at home mum. Until I realized I only pushed myself because I felt I had to do something useful. Not my own feeling really, such things are subconsciously imposed upon us by society. Can become a real 'inner saboteur', making you feel like crap, worthless even, if you haven't done something "useful" that day. As if cleaning kitchen cupboards makes you a valuable, worthy person :/ BS I don't wanna be valued for my cleaning skills, but for who I am, which is not the cleaning lady.
I also discovered that much of the cleaning and tidying I did wasn't because I felt it was necessary, but I feared what the neighbours/my mum/other ppl would think if I'd sit on my a$$ for a day, doing nothing, while the floor could do with vacuuming.
I learnt to let go of that 'programme', not a 100%, but most of it. I don't need to feel worthless when I choose to sit om my a$$ or spend days painting, enjoying my life, as opposed to washing doors etc.

Internal clock of sorts, and then a certain regiment. Always seem to wake up 5:27AM with no alarm.

For about 14 years (most) weekdays were
5:27 up...coffee
6:00 surf
7:00 shower
8:00 work
4:45(ish) surf

Different state and shift now. Enjoying random mornings (either busy OR leisurely).

^^Nice ....

I too am an early riser...I love morning quiet time lingering over coffee and Minglingdrinker ...I usually do all my "running" stuff on Monday...Groceries, bank, library....But now that I am retired, nothing is cast in stone...It's the best part about being retired...happy

Routine is a good thing that helps me keep in a good shape. I wouldn't change that.
I can also be flexible if need be, but that doesn't depend solely on me. You can't drive slowly in a fast lane. So it depends on how much time I have at disposal.
NOW I have more time than I used to have earlier in life, so I enjoy moving at a slower pace.

I'm fluidly flexible. Can be on a schedule or not. Basically the only things that hold me to a schedule are monthly budgeting, and weekly exercise and household chores. Otherwise, controlling stress has taught me that you never know what tomorrow will bring, live in the 'now'.

oh, and the dog. She will let me know if I'm not quick enough to fetch her meals at HER prescribed times. She will bring her dish and drop it on my foot.

Can relate to that, except for the dog .. as I have cats. And as of yet they have not mastered the technique of dropping their food bowls on my feet, haha. One just sits there with puppy eyes (yes, cats can have puppy eyes!) silently screaming "please pretty please feed me!" and the other cat tries to trip me up ohwell
