Like anything else in life they both have their good parts and bad. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Have to agree with what you have said, been there done that, but it is important to keep a sense of perspective. It is nice to rise high in the company but all the money in the world is not going to keep you company on a cold winters night.
After a long marriage, that didn't feel long at all, and ended so suddenly and painfully when death did us apart, I can honestly say I have no regrets. Last few years of our lives were hard. No matter how someone's body and soul are strong, when health ties the person's hands and one becomes periodically fully dependent on the help of others, it becomes very hard for both partners to carry that burden.
Love wins when making a decision to stay and let career opportunities go. So, it comes with a high price, but everything in life comes with a price, doesn't it? We made our choices together, been through good and bad and then some, but without regrets. Actually, I felt a relief after his soul left an exhausted body and hoped it was the end of a pain and suffering.
At first single life felt so empty, pointless and meaningless, but I moved on step by step, day by day, month by month... and learned more about myself and others. I learned that not everyone who helps you is your friend and not everyone who (un)intentionally fails to do so or does the opposite is your enemy. I learned that past is a foundation for the future I am building now. My new wings are strong and still growing, so I can spread them fly again.
Life is a journey and it can be much more fulfilling with the worthy companion. Sometimes it is good to be single to let past settle, which allows us to open our eyes and our hearts and see ourselves and the world with a deeper insight. We can understand and accept others to the exact degree that we really understand ourselves.
So, single or in relationship again? I have chosen to try meeting someone special and make the journey of life more meaningful for both of us. If I do not meet such a person, it means nothing has changed. At least I tried, so there will be no regrets later. So what happens happens...

Never been married and I love being single; so must go with being single.

i don't thing either one should determine a beautiful life. it can be,
and is, to me, beautiful, all on it's own. single or married, is just
part of the journey.

Money can't replace anyone, but it does play a role by determining a standard of living. Under some circumstances, when one has to be there for their other half, learning how to deal with issues at hand with less discretionary income can be quite a challenge. Love makes it worth it above and beyond any monetary value. After all, money is a mean that enables us to achieve goals, not a goal itself, at least not to those who put loved ones on the first place when they have to make a choice between the two.

I loved being married. Too bad it was with the wrong person. Being single hasn't been so bad, but I'm over it, lol

Well .. maybe I'm being overly romantic .. when you are talking about empowered people .. a healthy, loving and caring relationship can offer the best of both worlds .. being single can not offer both ..

Doesn't mean to say you cannot be happy and enjoy being single .. If you cannot be happy and empowered on your own, you cannot have that relationship either .. So sometimes we need to be single .. for a while, in order to learn, to grow, to become empowered .. so we can be a good partner .. to ourselves and another

They can both be beautiful.....for me the first couple of years of being single were fine but since then a bit of loneliness has crept in.....this was one of the reasons I came on here.....

Yeah I want to be married.....for all the right reasons.....

I want to wake every morning and tell her she is beautiful.....
I want to tell her my most intimate secrets.....
I want to hear her laughing at my silly jokes.....
I want to cry on each others shoulders.....
I want to wrestle over the remote.....
I want to share the good and bad times.....
I want to love and be loved....

Both: Singleness; A lot of loneliness but you are free in everything . Marriage; More on troubles, problems and hardships but on the other side it gives you happiness and joy for you have someone to leaned on share whatever your feeling is...The happiness and joy, problems or whatever troubles that comes to your life specially when it comes to sickness.
