When in April more than 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped in Borno state of Nigeria by boko haram islamic terrorist group,the world rushed in sundry promises of assistance.Most remarkable was the western world,led by the United States,which promised,among other things,to aid Nigeria with satellite information on the movement of the insurgents in border forests of the north east.More than seven montths after,Nigeria is still hoping and arguing about the pledged assistance,while the abducted students of Government Girls Secondary Sch,Chibok continue to agonise in slavery.As if emphasising the west's tiny interest in the Nigeria predicament,the US has tied controversial human rights issues to its Nigeria antiterrorism assistance.While it is incumbent on civilised humanity to defend the rights to freedom,justice,and equality anywhere in the world,America's current sermon on the human rights in the war against boko haram smacks of hypocrisy and snobbery.The US is chastising Nigeria,a sovereign state governed under laws,for alleged human rights abuse in the fight against boko haram insurgency and in the same breath falling head over heels in love with some virtually lawless non-state actors in a fight against the Bashar Al-Assad government in Syria and the Islamic State in Iraq and syria(ISIS) terrorists.Recently,ISIS released a video purporting to show weapons airdropped by US forces intended for Kurdish fighters in the hands of the militants the munitions were meant to destroy.Besides,despite its well documented human rights abuses in the Palestinian territories,Israel was substantially rearmed by the US before the recent seven weeks of fighting with the Palestinians in Gaza that killed more than 2,200 Gazans and 69 Israelis.America is wont to emphasise that its top priority is destruction of terrorism-except in the case Boko Haram.Considering the ferocity with which the US-led coalition has approached the ISIS terrorism and its lacklustre approach to the Boko Haram terrorism,its only clear that the former is a top priority to the west,its also obvious the nigerian situation is unimportant to America and its allies.Hypocrisy is the name of the US dealings and policies

'Boko Haram' according to the islamic terrorists literally means western education is evil.Hence they enter hostels and schools and slaughter innocent children in thousands and burn down the schools.They kidnap hundreds of female teenagers and marry or rape them to death.How is that "another Nigerian scam" please?
