Sometimes racism can be so ugly and sad to see that you are just speechless. This is almost one of those times.

In Austin, Texas, last week, the Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islam Relations (CAIR) held a celebration and rally on the state capitol grounds during what was billed as Texas Muslim Capitol Day. The group on hand was largely made up of Muslim students and children, there peacefully celebrating and learning about the political process in the state.

Basic stuff right?

Well, that was too much for one group of Christian protesters who felt the Islamic group had no right to be there and was somehow trampling on their American and Christian rights. The anti-Muslim group calls itself the Patriotic Defense Foundation and claimed they were on hand because CAIR was really there to create a climate in which it could “take over America.”

The group disrupted CAIR’s peaceful rally, which included the kids singing American patriotic songs with such shouts as “No Sharia” and “Go home” while carrying signs that read “Radical Islam is The New Nazi,” “Go Home & Take Obama With You,” and this lovely one, “I serve a risen savior, Jesus Christ. Muhammad is dead.”

One woman went so far as to grab a microphone away from a Muslim speaker and shout, “I proclaim the name of the Lord Jesus Christ over the capitol of Texas. I stand against Islam and the false prophet.” Protesters then loudly recited the Lord’s Prayer over the Muslim students there trying to carry on their celebration and do their best to ignore these very unkind protestors.

The Patriotic Defense Foundation posted on their Facebook page their intent to rally against these American Muslims who dared to celebrate their freedom of religion openly. One member wrote this on the page prior to the event:

“We hope to speak to event organizers, attendees, media, locals etc and find out what they are doing and why they continue to infiltrate our country instead of assimilating. We hope to join many there to stand shoulder to shoulder in support of America against islam.”

“Infiltrate our country instead of assimilating.” And by that she clearly means give up their religion and become Christian.

I always find it interesting that people and groups like this behave the way they do and think they are sending a positive message about their own religion. The irony in this situation is that the Muslims there for their celebration were doing a much better job of representing what is right about our values and what we all believe religion should do for people than those ugly protesters who were making it very clear what they had in their hearts was nothing more than hate and ignorance.

Please don't be fooled by the peaceful claims. Look how they are overrunning European nations and turning them into cesspools, forcing their barbaric a s s backwards ways on their adopted nations instead of respecting their ways. If not assimilate, at least don't pollute and SHOW GRATITUDE and respect the ways of other religions and the nations they adopted because the Arab nations where they FLED from to escape crimes against humanity and genocide didn't exactly make them feel welcome or happy or give them the freedoms which they are so conspicuously enjoying in the Western democratic nations. RESPECT THEM, DON'T POLLUTE THEM WITH YOUR A S S BACKWARDS CULTURE. OR AT LEAST HAVE THE SENSE TO KEEP YOUR INFESTED CULTURE TO YOURSELF WITHOUT FORCING SHARIA LAW ON OTHERS BY USURPING THE CIVIL LAWS OF THE WESTERN LAND. Thankfully, France, which was deluged with Muslims, wised up and started making laws to stop the spread of Sharia.

It is the goal of the Muslims to take over the planet and infest it with their barbaric ways. They don't even hide this fact. They proudly announce it. Dude, OP, please get a clue before you defend these nuts.

We need to harass these bullies and make their lives as miserable as they are making everyone else's to send them a clear message that we won't put up with their crap.

OP, if you have a problem with Christians and the way they conducted themselves, then maybe you will have no trouble becoming Muslim and start making your wife wear a burka and circumcise your daughter's clitoris so she feels no pleasure during sex and stone a woman to death for committing adultery or behead anyone for any reason. That's probably more to your taste. If you don't protest their "peaceful gatherings", the next thing you know, they would have taken over and you'll be praying to Allah. WAKE UP

YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS ALWAYS AN AGENDA TO THEIR "PEACEFUL GATHERINGS". Just ask the European nations which the Muslims are terrorizing.

If I had my way, I would not allow any Muslims to live in Western nations. Let them clean up the mess in their own countries.

This happened in Texas. No wonder. The Texans and the Irish are two of the smartest people in the world. They always understand what is going on in the world and take crap from no one!

You don't know what hatred is. I have been broken by Bulgarians, they are the most evil creatures who have no morality. But you won't understand me, unfortunately this happened to someone like me who is too intelligent and good person and most of you who are a little bit senseless wouldn't understand me and that's why all the people till now have helped these criminals and even feel satisfied. Life is unstandably unfair.

What hatred looks like. Try asking the Jordanian pilots mother or the parents of the young American angel the scum bags have just killed. I'm sure they'll tell you what hatred looks like.

I dont agree wuth the protesters response, but aren't you doing the same thing here that we are told day in and day out not to do when Muslims are the topic?

We look at the recent attacks by Muslims, when the don't agree with what something /someone does they blow up the building, go into a market and gun diwn innocent civilians.....

now before you call me ignorant and role your eyes and respond "not all Muslims are like that....you can't use these acts ti define all Muslims"...

But isn't thst what you are doing here? taking the acts of a small group of Christians and defining the whole religion off those acts?

Now while I do agree that this group of Christians could have handled things differently, at least they are not shooting the protesters like many Muslim groups have done in the past.

Better question is we have separation if church and state right? Why is it okay for Muslims to hold gatherings on state land and not ok for Christians? Why is it we are being told to respect one religion, while at the same time being told the other is a bunch of crap?

I guess I can rest my case

1. I have just as much evidence to state that the American Family Association is a front for the Ayran Nation as there is that CAIR is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood.
2. A German journalist, who was captured and tortured in the Middle East clearly has his own agenda, which most Europeans disagree with. The Golden Dawn in Greece is not a response to Muslims, just an expression of fascism.
3. Martin Luther coined the term Bulgarians- ie- they must be "buggers" (homosexuals) and the only good Muslim bugger was a dead one
4. When your wife just leaves to be with a motorcycle gang, one has little choice. Besides, adultry is a reason for divorce in the New Testament- one of the areas where Jesus and Paul disagree- just one the many contradictions one finds in the Bible
5. Try asking homosexuals dragged behind a vehicle to death or lynched/burned black people in America what hatred looks like'
6. Xenophobia

Xenophobia definition, an unreasonable fear.
What's unreasonable about people fearing Muslims in this day and age.

Your case would be thrown out, never mind rested, because you don't have one.

Clearly, I was responsing to the fruit salad of posts. Do I need more evidence than A?FA and AN have the same beliefs and agenda; the number of Right Wingers supported by both groups; how about the Rep. who spoke at the David Duke convention, or the Speaker who resigned after saying America would not be in a mess if Strom Thurmond had been elected president in 1947?

since you claim you have evidence, let's have a contest shall we, please post any articles here (in recent history. say last 50 years) where a specificly Christian group protested VIOLENTLY another group based soley in their religion, while you scour the internet looking for articles, I will post articles where a specific Muslim group protested VIOLENTLY based solely on their religion. ...lets see who finds more to post...up for the challenge?

I was on a train to Bulgaria once and you could be right (although I have to admit I have no idea what you're talking about since you haven't explained). Reminded me of Nazis, and the people in Sofia were very cold and unapproachable when I was just looking for a hotel. Although there were a few ok people I met working at a BMW car store of all places, I would not go there again. I can't really describe how cold the people were. But then again the world is full of strange places.

And then there was the other side of the story!!!

"A U.S.-based pro-Muslim group that enjoys close ties with the Obama administration has landed on one Arab nation's list of terrorist organizations.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was one of 82 groups around the world designated terrorist organizations by the United Arab Emirates, placing it in the company of Al Qaeda, Islamic State and others. While CAIR has previously been linked to Hamas, it has held hundreds of meetings with White House officials on a wide range of community issues and has sought to present itself as a mainstream Muslim organization."

I agree with the basic message that the attitude of assimilation or nothing is xenophobic and sad.

I don't believe this group of Christians is representative of the type of Christians I know.

I don't believe the muslims so many here are against are representative of the types of muslims I know either.

as I said in another post, it is sometimes easy to judge the majority by the minority,, unfortunately our media focuses much more on the stories that 'bleed' which represent a minority of a group.

and some westerners whose whole reality is based on what they see in media take that unbalanced representation as the whole truth.
