My mate is not the best looking guy, but that guy gets stunning looking women, because he's hung like a Donkey ! I'm not joking, he could rob a bank with that freak of nature swinging between his thighs, but he's also a decent guy also!

Well, sorry to say, and shallow or not, is it really so odd??
We are all the produce of our society and of our personal traumas.

Society evolves around pretty people.. just look at the people we adore and idolize, fantasize about --> movie stars, models etc etc.
When they get old, esp females, they become redundant and are replaced by better looking, younger ones. No one thinks "she's such a nice person, let her model the bathing suits!" once her boobs have sagged.

Personal traumas, sounds like your friend is very insecure, her looks her only strength in life.

When we see a famous rich bloke, either ancient or ugly as f***, with a pretty, young woman on his arm, don't we all think the same thing?
Which is --> "Oh, she in it for his money!"
This is EXACTLY the same thing as the OPs question.

I think it's shallow to deny (pretend) we're all so good and that we'd give a person that's so ugly it hurts our eyes as much of a chance as a someone that makes our mouth water and our hormones sky-rocket.

When a fat girl walks past you on the beach, her tum blubbering as she walks by, you ALL think "eeewww! Please put on some clothes!"
Don't pretend you think "Oh, she looks like a nice girl! I'm gonna go after her!"

What's the difference with the OPs statement?
Nothing! Absolutely nothing ...

I think most people who saw a rich old man with a beautiful 20 year old girl, would think she's with him for the money.

So because some people are shallow and Hollywood dictates what pretty is supposed to look like, being shallow and overlooking someone for superficial reasons is ok? Sure, there needs to be some physical attraction, but if that's all you base a decision on, odds are, you're going to miss something good. Sounds like someone either has been overlooked by a shallow and superficial person, is shallow and superficial, or maybe both.

My friend asked me to post on here a question she would love to know the answer to.

She asked,

Why do really ugly men even think they have a chance with a beautiful woman? She always says, you must be mental to even think you stood a chance.

Personally I find this cruel. But I told her I would ask, so here goes.

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS NOT MY QUESTION, ITS A FRIENDS

laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Fantastic question!!!

Yeah, I'll say...I never came across so frank question and it would have been still better if was been asked DIRECTLY...I mean...not by someone's friend!! or not on behalf of any friend...!!!laugh

I've read few replies to the question, most of those are condemning type...and OP's defensive *** hesitating stance is also quite ridiculous..

That's my frank opinion.

I'm going to analyse and post some replies on this topic soon...it's worth of...! Bcoz it's not just someone's so called mean thinking....it's more about how all most everyone looks towards the natural abnormalities.

Why do really ugly men even think they have a chance with a beautiful woman?

The picture that comes to my mind while reading this question is as below.....

A good looking lady encounters an ugly looking person...the first thing comes to her mind...
"OMG...How ugly creation of god!! Thanks god...you made me beautiful...!"

She tries to judge the sentiments of the ugly person...she is of the opinion that he too must have thought something about her...especially about her beauty!!...she attempts to see if he is staring at her...poor ugly guy notices that the beautiful lady is looking repeatedly at him...normally he avoids staring at beautiful ladies as he is aware of the big difference in his and their looks...so he is somewhat surprised to see her staring at him! For a moment he doubts may be she knows him.... he tries to recall if he had seen or mate her earlier...tries to identify her...so stares at her...and smiles somewhat but obviously.

The lady starts feeling that the ugly man is desirous to have her as she was thinking...and the above question comes in her mind.......how can such an ugly guy even think of her?? Her expressions turns angry....ugly guy notices, understands his mistake and forget about her presence around...

Lady is happy that he was desirous....and almost everyone is always desirous to have her in arms.....

Debbie:

I have read all the replies you received to your question so far.

What appears to be missing in most is a sense of empathy and sadness that your cousin has been taught this rather perverted view of men and relationships. I am truly sorry that she has never been shown a real way of building a loving and trusting relationship is more than just a product of physical appearance.

I will not raise my child to buy into this superficial behavior. I wish her parents had done more.

She's got no empathy for anyone, she's to busy looking in the mirror.

I think it's disgusting she makes her kids eat crappy food so she can buy herself designer clothes and bags. And I feel for her kids, one of them is already starting to copy her, talking to people with her head in the mirror. I've tried very hard in the past to help her with the kids, but i had to give up in the end, it made me so Ill. It's a shame because their dad moved away, so they have little contact.

Men who are very ugly have much more time for study, contemplation and self-reflection. Their minds are better developed than really good looking men, because the good looking men are constantly mired in Yin(petty affairs). Their minds can't reach a state of wisdom.

It's the same with beautiful women. Just an empty shell.

Maybe...

hmmm ,quite true it is.

These kind of people even don't understand that they are considering & presenting themselves just as an OBJECT to the entire world.

SADNESS!!! In what way is it concerned here?

Finding it cruel?? For what?? I guess, she is just attracted to some ugly person but is unable to accept his ugly looks and is too enthusiastic to know what exactly is he thinking about herself with the firm assumption that he is very much desirous to have her.....

.....else, why would any one care about why someone is desirous to have them unless proposed??
