Although we call it same gender attraction, my inner political correctness say it's sex attraction. Either way, I think it's possible to be both.

God has told us time and time again though out the scriptures that two of the same gender will not have a physical relationship. From stating a man shall not lay with a man as he would a woman. But I think the most clear thing he has told us about homosexual activity is


1 Corinthians 6:9 (king james version)

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

And better explained when translated a little further into our everyday language

Interesting question and response.....Thanks for clearing that question up.

Fornicators arent getting in. (Big surprise,,Glad I am not one!)
Idolaters neither.(Barely made that category)
Adulterers sorry for you (Does thinking about it count?)
Homosexual nor sodomites (Gosh Doctor games could be trickey)

Yep that leaves the select few. Hmmm...I wonder who they are.
Seems like Jesus should have been more clear than to say that none of us as righteous and that His actions on the cross for mankind was for all, including the fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, homosexuals and sodomites.

Hello,

I wanted to thank you for your question. I dont speak for everyone. I speak for my own experience. As a Social Worker, I have worked with individuals who are bi-sexuals who by definition feel attraction for both genders. It is possible and does occur. The key for most individuals is their rights to their own individual sexual identities. Hope my answer is helpful rather than hurtful.

gay activity is a choice,,,one can choose any type of activity even when they are members of a church or religious group,,,

whether the religion condones the activity is another matter

People who feel attraction for people of same sex and for people of opposite sex have always existed in the history of mankind. In the old testament portion of the Bible, we can read about some people, who did things against the natural order as created by God - in the days of lot, after lot and up until the present age. See portions from Romans Chapter 1 below:

23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

The truth is that people will always do what they want and come up with everything they can to defend what is done. But the key question to ask is whether what is done complies with God's instructions as laid out in the Bible. Whatever does not comply with God's word is against God. Whatever is against the word of God displeases God. And whatever displeases God is sin!

The fact that people do things and have reasons for doing them does not necessarily make what they do right in God's sight. God's standard is laid out in the Bible!

It is also interesting that the list extends beyond homosexuals to backbiters...the proud...inventors of evil things...the unmerciful.
