Topic: Homosexual in Christianity?

Is it possible to claim to follow God but yet directly disobey him?

James 2:10

10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

1 Corinthians 6:9 NKJ

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites,

There's a few other scriptures as well which will be mentioned further in the discussion if needed.

And in the end "homosexuality" in itself is entirely a choice. They may be attracted to the same gender, but that in itself isn't homosexual. And or what is sinful in homosexuality. It's the actions between the two that may follow.

Was it Mathew I think, who said forgive others their trespasses and your heavenly father will forgive yours.

I mean this nice Cowboy but you seem to have a real bee in your bonnet about gay people, which in itself is a sin.

I agree. Sin is sin

John 8:7King James Version (KJV)

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

is it casting stones to call sin sin, just because we are all sinners?

if I cheat,, does that mean I should not acknowledge cheating is cheating?

I think we often confuse discerning between behaviors as discriminating against individuals

I am not perfect, I know my imperfections, I have sinned, I know my sins,, this is why I feel free to call sin out, whether in changing my own behavior or merely aknowledging those same behaviors in others,,,

I would say it was casting stones if you constantly condemn people for what they do, even if you believe it to be wrong.

For me we are not to past judgement on others in how they live.
We are to love all men.
What measure you judge, you will be judged.
We are also told to love the person and not the sin.
Jesus said in Matthew, Love your Heavenly Father first then your neighbor as you love yourself. So would you hate yourself for sinning?
If we reflected on our own lives before others I think this world would be a better place.
He who has no sin cast the first stone. That is what Jesus said to a crowd who was going to stone a women who sinned.
For me I try to love unconditionally, yes sometimes I fail but I get back on the horse ans put right my wrong.

I would too,, now to come to universal agreement about what constitutes 'constant'

in an environment where people are 'constantly' asking about the lifestyle,, is it still casting stones to respond just as 'constantly'

I totally agree.

except for passing judgement on how people live,, without a just judgment of behavior, how can we discern for ourselves how WE should live

Loving others does not requiring having no discernment about their behaviors and choices ,and having discernment about their behaviors and choices is nothing to do with HATING anyone

my parents corrected me BECAUSE they loved me

christians shouldn't believe that the two don't coexist,,,,

According to the Apostle Paul, God Himself condemns sex between two people of the same gender.

To me when someone does wrong it is not up to me to pass judgement. It is up to me to guild them and encourage them to keep going with God. That is how I felt when I discipline my children. My aim is to show God's love to all.

Like I said before Love the sinner not the sin That does not mean I agree with the person sinning.
as an example a good friend of mine came out of the closet and told me he was gay and living with a man.
I told him you know how I feel about that kind of life but it doesn't change how I feel about you. I love like my own brother and that will never change but what you are doing is between you and God. He agreed with me.

then we agree, I should be able to point out what the bible says, or even if Im one who doesnt believe in a bible, I should be able to have an opinion about things,,,,and still care about and love the person with whom I may be disagreeing

its not pc to call it 'judgment' but to me, opinions are themselves a judgment,,,,and therefore all judgment is not a negative or unwelcome thing for a christian,,,,

ALL TRUE Christians have" a bee in their bonnet" laugh about" gay people." I sincerely hope, you are NOT trying to insinuate that a man who lives a life lead by the Holy Spirit & God's laws.... has latten homosexual tendencies, just because he will not condone it ? spock Or agree with you?

TRUE Christians.
1- Sin as all people do it.
2- They confess it (admit to at least one person, other Christians do abonishmish them)
3- They confess it to Christ
4- They ask Christ for forgiveness
5- They repent (change)

ANY sex outside of marriage (other than between a man & wife) is a sin.

Homosexuality is a sin, fornication, adultery, sodomy is a sin (oral or **** coputation), which also makes it an abomination.

A homosexual lifestyle is ongoing sin, by choice, they are not repenting.

Gay Marriage is an ongoing, conscious sin, against The Holy Trinity, that GOD does NOT recognize or sanction. it is therefore unclean. That which is unclean is UNHOLY.

NO TRUE Christian- Protestant or any type of Catholic will except homosexual behavior.
NONE of the FOUR major religions of the WORLD do.
( Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu... & I don't think the Buddhist are praying OR hoping to be reincarnated as a homosexual noway ).

It is a MYTH that Christians (or any major religion) is SUPPOSED to forgive, except, condone, permit anything UNHOLY.
That is Satan talking ( yes, he is in ALL 4 major religious too pitchfork) .... Well..
.We are NOT listening to him.

* The Lord, bless thee & keep thee, & make his light to shine upon thee, all thy days, of thy life.

John 8:7King James Version (KJV)

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Which CHRIST say to the crowd of MEN that were stoning a WOMAN for HER sins ( adultery & formication), when THEY ( approx 7 men), had SEX with HER themselves.
SO THE MEN could not judge her or stone her to DEATH because they WERE just as GUILTY... the married ones even MORE SO.

Thanks.
Going back to your earlier post.
What I'm trying to say is that I have a varied view on the subject.
I don't mind what gay people do as long as they are discreet and don't push it in my face.

What I don't agree with is the ones who talk explicitly about it, in a sexual fashion I mean.
I also believe that God will judge them, not me, even the discreet ones.

So live and let live, if you get my drift.
