Maybe he'd just split up with a woman, and was looking for a rebound. He probably wanted confirmation that he's "still got it". They're always that certain that they will convince you. Women do this sort of thing too. It's difficult. You get no explanation and are left wondering. It's happened to me more than once and there may be no one simple reason why they did it. What's funny from these posts is that I've heard that jazz from women more than once about how their life is in too much turmoil at some particular time to get involved in a serious relationship and when they say it it's true and when a man says it it's because he's got another woman.
