Snap judgements cause singleness...just look in the mirror..

No one has the time to converse with hundreds of people on a dating site to explore their personality and character.

Because a swift filtering process is needed to narrow hundreds of prospects down to a few, we make snap judgements about how all the pictures we see and all the profiles we read makes us feel.

Snap judgments don't cause singleness .

They bring us closer to a place of single-mindedness about the people we want to explore...

Why do I see so many men who have an unhappy main profile picture? They often look angry. I really don't like to respond to someone who looks so mean.

Maybe they are using their new passport photo...
You are told to look somber... slaphead

Good one, Rains laugh

Well I have a heck of a time trying to look somber..
When the guy kept winking at me and making faces behind the camera.
The his boss came over and told him that Hey it has to be a somber look...

what makes you think that single women are unhappy and losing sleep thinking why? why?.. why?!! .. lol
people may have their own ideas, opinions.. it is up to each person's own criteria.

I think more women would respond if they see a picture with a smile. Sometimes I pass on someone only because they look like a grouch.

I'm smiling in my pic.
Some chicks just don't like clowns.

Hmmmmm.....I like clowns a lot.... coz I'm a clown myself laugh laugh laugh

Not everybody lives in a world of roses and champagne.
There are some places where roses never grow, and people don't even have the luxury of even cheap beer.
and it's not that they don't want to smile.
It's that sometimes they literally just can't because they've been beaten down by life's experience so much, it robs them of their joys, hardens them, twists them into shadows of their former selves.
It's not the most attractive photo sometimes, I know.
But there are times in life that I can relate to them.
Everyone can relate to it on some level, I feel.

I think this statement is pretty much right. Without telling to much, I've been through a lot the past 10 years or so. When you go through a lot of bad stuff, Well, The best way I can explain it, it does something to you. It takes something out of you. Sometimes you may regain it later on in life. And then again, you may never get it back.

I use to smile a lot. But somewhere in my life that smile turned into a grin. Or what some might call a smirk. Also, With the job I use to do you get to see the bad side of people. Really, mostly bad. And since I started being a moderator on another site much bigger than this one. I've seen a lot of sick puppies. All I know is I'm not the same person I use to be. And just all around life did it to me.

My heart goes out to you Charles...sincerely I do...I felt every word you've spoken...May God Bless Us to survive in this cycle called "Life" flowerforyou

Well, if I posted a pic of me smiling I'm sure there would still be all kinds of other petty dislikes that would negate it. Like I'm wearing a camo shirt, or my glasses aren't right, or I have a beard, or my hair is grey, or my teeth aren't perfectly white, etc, etc. Jeez, some people are overly picky.

oh and by the way Gum..I dig that grin and the beard and the camo bigsmile

Mine would just be the grin and the beard as well

I agree with you, we all gotta

Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too,
I passed around the corner and someone saw me grin,
when he smiled I realised I passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile then realised what it's worth,
A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin don't leave it undetected,
Let's start an epidemic quickly, and get the world infected.

Unknown

Right On That!!! Smile is really infectious unless the person in front of you is a Zombie....Lolzzzz:wink:

I'm in love with this cute little guy
Anyone say any thing about my four legged friend. I will hunt you down. Lol

Three legged, actually. Got him from the rescue like that. His one remaining rear leg developed hip dysplasia, but we found a way to keep him mobile so we can take long walkies...

Respect to you Gum, seriously.

He looks as happy as a pig in the proverbial

Thanks. It took him a while to get used to the concept and to not try and shake it off when I wasn't looking, but now he's pretty competent and running about like a normal dog. Now, if I could only stop him from trying to hamstring me with the wheel every time he motors past me from behind. I'm not totally convinced it isn't deliberate.

lol I'm sure it's not deliberate. You're a good man for rescuing that baby. My neighbour has a three-legged dog and he happily runs around like he has all four legs. I'm always impressed whenever I see him.
