I have 4 friends.. 2 are happily married..1 (my cousin) recently had her annulment .. 1 is with her boyfriend for err.. I can't remember how long they've been together. Me? It's just me, myself and I.. When we gather I always end up looking after their kids or preparing food or doing errands lol.. I want to have my partner too or perhaps have a family soon. I'm getting older and it seems that as I age I am having a slim chance to meet "the one". I'm scared to try..I'm anxious if I can still find him..I'm nervous to take risk.. BUT I want to be with someone 'forever'. What's the best solution? ^_^

Thanks.
Karen

Wanna know the secret? Stop looking. Yup, let it come to you. Because you'll just stress yourself out continually looking for "the one". It's too much pressure to put on yourself. I was married once, and although it ended in disaster, I was happy for a great many number of years. How did I meet her? Simply by chance. Wasn't even looking.

Ok that's only half. The other half of the secret is to be prepared to be alone. Yes, you heard correctly. Nevermind that old saying "looking for my other half" or "somebody to complete me". You ARE complete already. You're just looking for somebody to share your life with. And if you can be content with not being in a relationship for the rest of your life or never getting married, everything will be great. The world is full of crappy people so lower your expectations but if you find that "one" that can manage to make your heart skip a beat, well you're one of the lucky ones.

Ok, secret is out!

I so agree with this...I know the relationship I am in now, I was so not looking... friends were fine with me as I know it was him..It grew out of that.
don't stress over the looking, take the time to just enjoy each moment of your life, keep an open mind on what can happen and it will
Best wishes in your search

My late wife was age 38 when she and I met. She was age 40 when she gave birth to my son. So, it is not too late for you to obtain what you want.

thank you for your kind words..there are times when I feel insecure when I see people happy with their love life..but sometimes I'm thinking that i should be thankful coz some of them are overly stressed with their relationship.. yeah I shouldn't force something to happen if it's not yet time,, thank you and I guess Mingle will be one way to help me shorten the waiting time (??):wink::wink:

all the best:innocent:
