how do you send messages before adding them as a friend

Members do not have to be on friends list in order to send e-mails. Just go to their profile under the picture you will see send e-mail. Click on that and send the e-mail. Once you have established e-mails with members you will find the e-mails in your in-box. Site Mod Kristi

i can't send a masage,why? More info required of you if you cannot send an email, like what error messages are you getting? If it is Instant Messaging you cannot, no one can as that feature is in abeyance.

i can't send a masage,why? could be many reasons you never put in the code they sent to your main email (the one you used to sign up for mingle) the person you are trying to send a message to has you blocked (for age , distance , etc etc etc) like the lovely Soulfie said there could be an error message with out more info we are just guessing
