Bob/Robert...the ex's name, was so into himself...it was all about Bob! My son is named after him, hope he doesn't follow the same path.

Nick/Nicholas...another son and also someone I know from back east...both big hearted people, the kind that would do anything for you.

I was with a Greg/Gregory for 6 yrs., has a Dr. Jeckle/Mr. Hyde personality...maybe due to the fact that he is an alcoholic.

understand that shutterbug; my Gregory was a writer, very intense. he had a really beautiful spirit most times. We loved each other; but his love of heroin was something i couldn't compete with. He was also an alcoholic but he found heroin -- it was hard to let him go.

My ex I think drank alcohol for lack of social skills when i first met him...now, he will have a beer ever now and then. My friend Greg is an alcoholic, he is always drunk when i run inot him.

My ex's uncle Robert but uses Bob is a quiet, nice and tall, family man. He loved and spoilt his wife....and died a humble man. An old family friend's son was a Robert, he was rough as guts, always had a prob with the law but I think his family upbringing contributed to that.

I had a Kevin who I chatted with on here, and we were going to meet yesterday, but he never called me. I got a voicmail from him on Wednesday morning and he said he would call me that night, but he hasn't called me at all. I am really hurt over this. Don't know if something was wrong or what. He hasn't read my message I wrote him on here. If he calls again, what would you do?

I dated a guy named Ted once. Refused to call him "Theodore" because I thought of the cartoon Alivn and the Chipmunks...

and my ex was pudgy enough to resemble an alcoholic version of Theodore from the chipmunks...laugh

I have preferences too-
AUTOMATIC DEAL BREAKER: Calling me "JENNY" more than twice.huh

I don't have a streak of similar names, but 3 of the most significant women i have dated had the same birthday.

fun_in_sc - something you have to learn, don't take everything to heart. If you don't hear from this Kevin guy, don't think he is a player or the worse. It could be that maybe he is just not the guy for you. You just have to toughen up and accept that this guy may not be the one and put yourself back on the dating block and try again.

Be happy that you get a chance to try again and not have some guy string you along and make you worry or sad. You deserve some happiness too and only you can make that happen. Good Luck!

Thanks sin, I have moved on and am talking to one of my friends now. He has heard my woes but is still there. Good friends are there for you.

My childhood best friend is an Elizabeth. She is tall, sexy, quiet, kindhearted, sensitive, and loyal. She married a shortie and a multi-cheater. She lives overseas,... wish to take her hubby fishing some day and use him for sharkbait. He doesn't deserve my friend...

ive noticed guys named josh and guys named micheal have similar characteristics as other guys named josh or micheal. ive had bad experiences with micheals, so i wont date a guy named micheal (is that wrong??). but ive noticed the same with girls i know. ashley's, lindseys and bethany's all seem to have similar characteristics as others with the same name. (not trying to put down anyone with those names.)

Oh, I definitely think names tell you a lot about a person. I've been meeting a lot of people with one particular name lately and they are all psychologically impaired in some way.

laugh

I now have a bad impression whenever I hear that name!
