Trump is so ridiculous I cannot even stand to listen to the man speak. I suspect, like Ross, he will got the independent route and Bush has the family name which is either loved or hated.
I am sitting back and watching to see how this pans out |

I am not a Donald Trump fan, but at last initially he did something very improtant, he brought up issues that were very important to American's. Not just Republicans, but all Americans, such as immigration and veterans.
I also have no love for John McCain, my Dad is a Vietnam vet, MACVSOG actually, and yes, I am a very very proud son. McCain as been no help for the vets, none. I wish Trump would have pointed that out in a better way. Gave a better sound bite. Sadly, you cannot ignore the media. Trump had a good advisor, but lost him after this last debacle. My prediction is Trump will hold onto his core voters but that will not translate into a presidential nomination. Personally, I don't see anyone in the Republican field that strikes my fancy, that's very sad. Maybe I'll write in Mightymoe for President. ![]() |

Adding my 2 cents..
Objectively speaking, the republicans should at least take the time to look back at what happen to the democrats positioning, 10 years ago..ideology..ideology..ideology Either Trump is the 'campaign' or a PR promotion..it could still be damaging ..its just extreme...whether he would just be like another Palin or not, since he is now a declared candidate..one would still think of 2 words : ominous & circus.. They need to dwell more, on how to effectively communicate with the public (deliberative materials..et al )... I'd go with TMommy in this..sit back and see how this pans out..tempted to cross my fingers but wanted to really see not just the 'action' but also the 'reaction' in one the biggest circus of the world..:) ...well, as long as it is not some independent socialist anyway..God forbids! ...just saying, ![]() |

Hey look everybody it's donald trump!!!! Wait, no, it's Ronald Grump. Mr Grump welcome to the republican primary. There are 50 other candidates from each state so you get a randomly chosen piece of flatware and you'll be blindfolded and thrown into the cage with 100 veterans POW's rape victims family members of murder victims and 10 other candidates. Points will be awarded for each wound to a candidate and a finger or toe removed for each on the innocents who will be armed with tazers clubs cuffs high capacity pistols and stun guns. To make it interesting you will have to hold a candle in the opposite hand and keep it lit or you will be eliminated. Good luck, your time starts......NOW.

A bit of a slip during the interview? paraphrased
'I was against the war in Iraq.. Look at Hillary she did a terrible job as Secretary of State in 2004. From the beginning I was against the war in Iraq ....... Secretary of State in 2004..... Colin Powell until he tendered his resignation and Condoleezza Rice was appointed. ![]() To quote Hairumph, (direct quote) "I was given the biggest award by the (U.S.) Marines the other day.. just about one of the biggest civilian award by the Marines the other day, I was with all of the Marines I was with the head of the Joint, the New Head of the Joint Cheifs of Staff the other day he was a very impressive guy.. Um.. at the Waldorf Astoria the other night I was given, you know, one of their most distinguished awards which was a great honor for me. Chris Cuomo] "So you're saying they respect you?" "I think they do. I mean I think, well... I got the award from them They presented it to me, so I think they do. " CC] mhmm. ~>this is where he completly lost it explantation below<~ "but when I say that a lot of people thought 'that's very smart.' You know I, I.. I watch all of the shows.. you get the best people. Because, uh, even the Generals want to be on tv.. orrr they're retired Generals in many cases. " On the last quote, Hairumph blows a fuse. Earlier in the interview he was asked about his knowledge of military action, foreign policy etc coming from watching t.v. Nothing wrong with that for a civilian not given access that politicians would have to actual movements, statistics, plans, and things of that nature. He deflected by saying to Cuomo "you get the best people, what do I know?" from that point on he was flipping biscuits. In the last quote he was regurgitating reactions to an interview of himself that was still in the process of being filmed. He wasn't looking at his phone checking Twitter in real time... Where did that come from? Marine Corps Award.... False. Major Paul Greenberg U.S. Marine Corps Public Affairs "The U.S. Marine Corps has not presented any awards to any presidential candidates this year. It is not customary for the Marine Corps to make such presentations." It was a charity that has the Marine Corps in its name, a law enforcement charity not the Marine Corps Chris Cuomo CNN Special Report 19 Aug 2015 Semper Fi |
