When a home is converted to a business, why don't they make the doors open outward instead of inward? I guess they don't want to waste a perfectly good exit door!ohwell

My home town was built by the Romans.
You can still see quite a lot of Roman stuff here, but I prefer Disney world ohwell

My town and the surrounding area was the scene of a major revolutionary war battle. There are signs and site markers all over the place, including a few "Washington Slept here" signs.

I never really read up on the battle but I do know one thing for sure, Washington enjoyed sleeping.

no, not really. but home town always has a special place in our hearts. we can find many things of a town from Wikipedia. but visualizing a place by its people is something different. and actually I am missing my home badly.

My home town contains one of the oldest cities in the country. There is a fort, a moat runs around certain parts of it. It overlooks the bay and still have some 15th century cannons lining the ramparts. There are 19th century fortifications made and additional artillery added to them. I used to walk around those walls and enjoy the view overlooking the city, as well as exploring the various parts of the wall, itself.

Lots of history, in the middle of an urbanite setting.
