Thats not true Cory I respond to the guys that are matched with me and I have gotten from the matches I have maybe two guys reply, where one is getting over a serious relationship and the other already was strating a relationship. We make the first move as well and we get no replies.

you have to go check yes no or maybe under mutual match,, and it will send a response to the ones you click yes or maybe to, but like i said,, ive sent em mail and very rarley will i get a response

Obviously it is happening to everyone!! HMMM I also think the whole friend thing is funny...does anyone really talk to people on their friends list? Some people have 280 people on their list...you can not tell me that they talk to them all the time. I just think this is all crazy!!

Well, as long as it's not just me, at least I have company with this thing! I still think it's odd. Everyday I check in and see those ol' Mutual Matches, just starin' at me, and nobody writin' nobody. Well, as my dad used to say, "Hell's bells!"

I seem to be having a similar issue. The people that I've actually had conversations with live half way across the country lol

That is a problem that I've run into more than on here actually. I guess I'm not built for my generation lol

I think people are haphazadly saying "Yes" or "Maybe". I guess it boosts their self esteem to see a bunch of matches, although they have no intention of replying to most of them. Me, I've checked no to at least 90%. So to date I've gotten 1 mutual match. I emailed her today. We'll see what happens.

I went through it again last night, mailed the one match. She hasn't read my message yet, so...dunno, maybe she checked maybe? lol

Mac, I think you must be right. I don't think I'm being haphazard when I check "yes" or "maybe"; I actually do read what the person has to say. I just find it odd that no one writes anybody! Maybe people are just here for grins and don't actually want to meet anyone!

I just try these internet dating services to see who's out there. I've made a bunch of mailings just to see nobody even reads them. If there not going to read them, why bother sending them? I've run into the same issues everyone else has. Mutual match, viewings but no return mailings. I've always had better luck just doing the being single thing and seeing how it goes. I find I meet more people through friends than any other way of meeting people.
Oh well, I guess being single ain't all it's cracked up to be.

John, I think you're right about meeting more people through friends, etc. Although it seems like they are all in a relationship already. Very hard to get responses from anyone online, not just this site. Curious, it's definitely not just you. What's the deal??!!

As we can see it happens to men and women. I don't wait around to be contacted by my mutual matches. If I'm interested, I write a short note. Why wait for them to contact you? And, if you don't receive a response back when you write them, then my thinking is, they just missed a chance to meet a pretty great woman.

Well TSW123, I believe it's only common curtousy to respond even if your not interested. Sorry for my spelling, I'm an engineer. We cannot spell.
