![]() The White House on Friday downplayed a veto-proof House bill that would stall the number of Syrian refugees coming to the United States, saying the bill would likely not pass the Senate. “Based on what Senator [Harry] Reid said today, it does seem unlikely that this legislation is going to pass the Senate. He’s indicated that it does not have the votes to pass through the United States Senate,” spokesman Josh Earnest said. The House voted 289-137 Thursday to essentially bar refugees from Syria and Iraq while beefing up entry screenings. In a blow to President Obama, 47 Democrats — including many facing tough 2016 re-election races — joined the GOP, giving them the two-thirds margin needed to override vetoes. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said pausing the process would be “the most reasonable and balanced thing for the administration to do.” But Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters, “Don’t worry, it won’t get passed.” |

What I don't get is why other countries won't take them. Like Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, etc. They don't have the immigration problems we do. They should share in that. The best thing is to send them to other muslim countries where the are at home instead of a fish out of water. If not, send them to the countries with plenty of land and low population. We have enough in the US but we are evil for not wanting them. Step up countries

What I don't get is why any country has to take them. Leave them there to kill each other. Maybe someday, I doubt it though, they will tire of thousands of years of war and death and change their own country.
Maybe Africa would better suit them. |

Excerpts from President Obama's books. Funny how the mainstream media doesn’t report this.
From Dreams of My Father: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites." From Dreams of My Father : "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race." From Dreams of My Father: "There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white.." From Dreams of My Father: "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names." From Dreams of My Father: "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela." Finally, and most scary: From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." |
