Sounds dreary.. you should move anyway, doesn't sound like there is anything keeping you there.. pick any warm state..

Absolutely would I relocate in the process now actually.
I agree do the meet and greet.
It is so easy to make it a fantasy the trick is to keep it real.

Relocation for love? Isn't that the plot line of the TLC series "90 Day Fiancé"? The travails those people on that show go through seem like too much & most of them are young and in passionate love & still having issues.

For a mature person established in their own country w/family, job & lifestyle set already...seems like "love" wouldn't be enough compensation for the upending of at least 20 years (from college age). Heck you know how most people hate moving to a new apartment or home & that's in their own state...to a completely foreign country just for love...no way.

If its the real deal, and we have met and she is the special one,
off course I would move.

But its better if she relocates here
and leaves the mother in law there
  rofl

Nah! at this age it is impossible to re-locate for love....if it was 40 years ago, no problem at all....just saying....

I was in long distance relationship and he proposed he moved to me since I had children and a,we'll established life. It didn't work and he was very angry and always threw in my face the fact he gave it all up for me. Years later, another long distance relationship with a childhood friend, since my kids left home for college and marriage we decided to take the next step and love together. I sold home and, moved to him . Only it's not working and I find myself being resentful as well. It's very hard to give up everything and move to someone . Their life, their element of life etc

I think anywhere has love, that will be a wonderful land. And why dont we do that for our love?
